I am 54 I've listened to him since he came out like early 2000's I think and at first I was like WHAT IS THIS? My sons helped me out some cuz He can rap very fast!!! so I kind of learned how to catch his lyrics but of course you still have to pause it LOLLL but he's got some that He doesn't rap a lot in too I may be telling you this and you know all about Hip Hop and Eminem LMAO but if you don't He got me through "Prescription Drug" Addiction as he was addicted but He really does have music that is inspiring too BUTTTTT Country Gospel Rock Is My THANG

If you’re going to check out one rapper, it should definitely be Kendrick Lamar.He’s the only rapper in history to win a pullitzer prize, and his ear for music is impeccable. The album “To Pimp a Butterfly” is considered one of the best albums of all time of any genre, and it has nearly unanimous acclaim and praise from some of the best classical and jazz composers of all time. They even study Kendrick Lamar’s “To pimp a butterfly” in some graduate level music programs. It’s an absolute masterpiece level work of music that transcends genres. The entire album is a giant metaphor. People who don’t even listen to rap/hip hop love Kendrick Lamar. My mom doesn’t even like rap, but she loves Kendrick lol. I definitely would recommend giving the album “To Pimp a Butterfly” a listen if you get a chance. 👍

@@hechpee He ultimately has full creative control of his music and has input. He doesn’t produce the beats, but he basically tells his producers and orchestration what he wants and the sounds he wants.

If you wonder why Em had that last rhyme at the end before going back into the hook It’s because Em can’t help but end a rhyme scheme once he’s started it lol Cuz the last line almost cuts off a perfect rhyme scheme held through till the end Then he says wait, dinner at 8? To finish it off, he puts it in the place you least expect and it catches you off guard, like he’s gonna end on that rhyme Then switches back again, almost like a “SIKE! Gotcha!” Right at the end😂

They’re both focused on different things. Kendrick can’t do what Em does, and Em can’t do what Kendrick does.

TPAB sucks. Incredibly boring and pretentious album. People overrate Kendrick's albums just because of the instrumentals, which are so lush and over-produced. I don't know any hardcore Hip Hop fan that likes TPAB. Em is actually much more regarded as an MC than Kendrick by hardcore fans. Just like Prodigy, Raekwon, Big L, AZ, Kurupt, Pharaoeh Monch, Chuck D, Del Da Funkee Homosapiens, Lupe, etc. Speaking of Lupe, he is actually a 1,000,000 x better writer than Kendrick.

@@petercoderch589 Spoken like someone who only looks at albums through one lens. TPAB is one of the greatest rap albums of all time. It’s more than just lyricism. His ability to create jazz and funk fusion and compose music is beyond anything that Lupe has ever done. There’s a reason why classical composers gave it unanimous praise. Even Lupe has gone on record saying this. Kendrick’s ear for music is nearly unmatched. I agree Lupe has always been a better lyricist, but in terms of making music, he’s nowhere even close to Kendrick. He would even tell you that.

The adjectives we use sometimes to describe what goes on in a track is funny tho😁 I wouldnt say EM destroyed Kendrick on this track BUT EM took the track, his verse was more memorable and more dramatic, so Em takes it ...destroy kendrick?..no!
