Yeah I was in a dark place in 2017. I had a principal and a lot of kids side with the bully. I had some support, but the principal threaten to suspend me for standing up for my self. I would listen to Eminem songs to help myself go through that school year. Honestly without his songs I don't know if I would be ok today. I tested out of high school and got out. I'm 16 at college and now I'm in a better place, but I still listen to Eminem everyday. This guy is my favorite rapper/artist. Nobody can beat him.

Even when I forgot about Eminem's music for a pretty long time, I still feel creeps on my body after listening to it. Eminem had never ended. He was just coming through very hard time. As people, who should make him love his job, we shouldn't complain about it. When he was broken we should remind him that there are a few millions people for who it's worth to live and make even better music. Thank you, Eminem, for helping me with your music since I was 6.

When this song came out, I was in a dark place. I had nothing to lift me. A lot of people ask me, "Why do you love Eminem, he's not relevant anymore." This song is why. This song got me out of where I was at in my heart, and in my soul, and while it didn't cure my pain, it gave me the will to get up. I could have just sat and pissed and moaned or get up and get my own, and this song gave me the motivation to have Guts Over fear. To this day, when I'm down, I throw this on, and I'm better. I don't understand how people hate Eminem? He is a legend. Just like tupac, Dr dre. He started when they started, understood the rapping lifestyle. Started from the bottom. Worked his way to the top, he didn't get famous for his looks, but his music. Iggy on the other hand is just a woman who can rap, her looks is what made her career. Most of the hate are probably from kids who never listened to Eminem's older songs.
@DJayT24079810 жыл бұрын
That's true. I was born in '98 but i dedicated my last year listening to em's albums and just because he isn't slim shady in his recent albums, that doesn't change him. Out of all Eminem songs this one is very important to me. I was suicidal, depressed, filled with anxiety from age 7-18. This song got me out of my lowest and many other of his songs too, but this one gave me courage the most to keep moving on and keep my hopes high with my head low. Many people don’t realize the importance music has on people same with any other form of art. It’s an outlet to the darkness. I’m 21 now, decently happy most days. Even if there’s bad days I remember how far I’ve come and refuse to go back to the old ways I was stuck in for a long time. I hope everyone reading this realizes that your problems are temporary so don’t end it permanently. The days get better even if it takes years.
@dreamer_arena222 жыл бұрын
I'm 20 have a similar story as yours, so touchy and I think we frequently misinterpreting what depression is, I had a few panic attacks as well and was binge-eating and then I heard in some video I was watching that depression actually doesn't exist it's just simply our reaction to it only we choose to be happy to nourish the spirit of our inner child throughout the entire life. And actually I learned this song by heart and whenever I feel low I put up instrumentals and reciting these lyrics, cause this is truly empowering, I'm just begging God to never let Eminem pass away or so when it happened I think I must continue his legacy by following his footsteps but coming up with my own lyrics

Eminem, undeniably an icon of rap, continues to influence and shape the landscape of the genre to this day. His unmatched storytelling ability, visceral lyrics, and magnetic stage presence have defined modern rap. His legacy is unquestionable, and his impact is felt in every beat, every verse, and every line he drops.

When I was 18 years old I moved across the country from Philadelphia to California. "The legend of the angry blond Lives on through you when I’m gone" I cried when he said that. I can't imagine life without Em, he helped me fight through life since 3 years old. I've never met him, hopefully I get the chance to before it's too late. I went through the same shit as he did and still struggling to stay alive. I wanted to be just like him, to inspire and save people with music. It's hard doing this alone, got no real friends, broken family. I don't know what I'll say to him if I get the chance to meet him, I'll probably just hug him tight and tell him how much he means to me and that he's the spark and the flame that lights my dark world for me to keep this painful life I'm living in going. To me, he's the real friend that I've ever have and it's sad to see that he's growing old and soon be gone. You're my homie Em, I'll forever support you and be by your side even though I live on the other end of the world. Hopefully all the Stans that went through shitty situations in their lives make it through the end with Guts over Fear.
