There’s so many mainstream rappers that just got retired, or changed profession, or are just flaunting off their jewellery on social media for the sake of the names they made in the past. On the other hand there’s Em, he just could’ve quit right after Recovery knowing his runneth is over(which people thought) but he didn’t. He just loved rhyming and doing rap and he just continued doing it rather than being bothered with the thought that if he is relevant anymore or not. He kinda just stayed there even after he has proven enough already because he simply just loved rapping. This totally shows how much he is devoted to his art and not just here for the money/fame thing. His songs may not have a story telling like it used to be but the experiments he do with the words/rhymes is so so so so untouchable. I literally came to this album after year of its release and was going through rap genius and felt like “how can I stop adoring this guy”. He is literally a living legend and I’m lucky to be born in an era that I got to discover him. I don’t understand why these ducks wanna go listen to rappers who flex about Lamborghinis which they made by selling trash to these ducks and making money to buy them Lamborghinis in the first place.
