8:45 it was NF’s “When I grow up”. 13:12- 13:54was a Marvel reference, and there’s a gap between, Marvel and DC, when Eminem said MC Hammers, it’s referencing to Thors hammers. Then when he said “sent your task force in” he mentions DC movie the “Suicide Squad” might be a stretch. But the original name for Suicide Squad is “Task Force X”. Now this is my favorite one to say at most. In 15:32 we hear a flow that Eminem uses that sounds familiar to NF’s “Paid my dues” in 2:24 NF has that flow and if this is Eminems way in responding back that’d be dope. But at the same time Idk I’m just thinking if it is or might not be.

First 4 bars in the beginning were a shot at snoop: "I don't smile, I don't frown. Get too up or get too down" Are smiliar to lyrics in Snoop's song: Up's and Downs' hook: "There Will Be, Ups And Downs, Smiles And Frowns" "I was here, so were you. You came and went, I stuck around" Snoop and Em were in the same game. But Snoop seemingly left the rap game while Em stayed in it. Em says "Stop me, how? Your opinion's like a broken calculator, that shit doesn't count" Saying Snoop can't stop Em from rapping. He's also saying Snoop's opinion on Em doesn't count. Like that of a broken calclutator. @odw323 жыл бұрын
Many parts of this track reminded me of Campaign Speech, although much less disjointed -- It's like once in a while, his brain gets so crammed full of rhyming syllables, that he indeed literally just "empties his book of rhymes", he takes every scribbled line from the margins of his notebooks, and throws it into a song. The result seems a bit more abstract/freestyle, and there are some super cheesy punchlines in there; But the cadences and rhyming patterns towards the end are simply insane, he really has mastered the art of building tension.

The reason rappers, or most musicians for that matter, started getting into songs right away without build-up, is because then it's much more likely for people to stick around long enough for it to count towards the number of total streams. I personally love slow build-ups, so I'm kinda upset that the current systems favor that specific choice. It's a shame that artists need to cater to algorithms to make their music do well financially, oh well....
@Cosmic_God_Particals2 жыл бұрын
This is one of his best fuck you songs. He's literally using the easy flows that other rappers do and styles and using it against them with ridiculous wordplay with several different meanings with like every word he says just to demonstrate how much better he is and that they are most definitely not even close to his level. You know I don't totally blame the younger generations for not understanding or appreciating Eminem's current music. It's not that they're too young or dumb (although that is a factor for some) but it's really hard to understand what Eminem is feeling and saying without some life experience. I'm sure we've all been really good at something if not one of the best and there's always people around that undermined it and downplay how impressive it is and how good you are. Or even worse say that you're not as good as you used to be when you're clearly better. It's always easier for assholes to tear people down than to lift them up because it hurts their ego in some way. So it's easier on the ego to just dismiss somebody. It makes sense in this era of social media where narcissism seems to be more rampant or at the very least more noticeable than before.

A penny is 1 cent what are you on about?
@DigitalRageInc3 жыл бұрын
@@LethalCodex yes it does , 1 cent is more than 0 therefore , if a penny has more cents(sense) he's basically saying people are brainless , a penny with sense is a penny wise which then sets up the clown bars

I think talking about yelling at a cloud around 7:10 is a Simpson's reference (Abe Simpson made the newspaper, where the headline was 'Old Man Yells at Cloud')

It's crazy to be honest I was born in 94 and having em like as the standard of the best since I can remember just seems so crazy, EMS always guna be the goat, even when you go back and listen to the legends before our time this a clear shift in sound speed cadence and flow and it's a progression of music that needs to be upheld

TRIPLE entendre with the pen line (one you missed): “No cap with the pen” - No limit “No cap with the pen” - The pen is out AND (you missed this one) “No CAP with the pen” - Not lying when he’s writing.....

That harmonious flow you talked about at the beginning of the song is a variation of his flow on the chloraseptic remix. He switches it up the same way too. It goes so hard

"I used to wonder where my next meal is gonna come from, now I just wonder where my next - mil (million) / meal (as in his next rap beef) - is gonna come from." It can be interpreted as a triple, but a lot reactors either miss or just don't elaborate on. No hate, just pointing out an observation.

Im glad you caught the ""wind up" on their backs" (I missed that), but you missed "Like Toy Soldiers" by Eminem..... But, you also missed "Flo Bitah" ((Floor Biter) dead) in the Ghost Rider scheme. Thanks for the great review man!!
