To throw a tantrum : : a) to have a childish outburst like a raging baby who gives punches to its mother b) in How I met your Mother, they invent the Tantrum energy drink. And in season 9 episode 18 (Rally) Marshall (Marsh !) throws a tantrum drink to Ted and Ted says the punchline : "dude you're a grown man why are you throwing a tantrum ?". So here Marsh is quoting Marshall from How I met, it's an hommage. c) And it's also connected to the fact that a disgrunted-dissatisfied employee could have a breakdown and throw his energy drink (his tantrum) in the open-space (and this one is also connected to the mother since its a "motherfucking' and the baby before was supposed to punch his mother in the groin...)
