It's almost starting to irritate me how amazed I am by AI art, like it's kinda messed up that what it comes up with hits me so much harder than what real artists make. The generated art is incredible and it almost feels like a bad thing

It's getting better and better. I understand artists outrage but I think we need to just embrace this as a new tool to create art in our society. It allows anybody to make their idea into art, I think that's just an amazing thing to have in the world. It doesn't diminish the hard work of artists, although I do understand the anger regarding peoples styles being copied by AI.

@@nhdoom8368 seriously I'm frustrated. I've been studying art for the last decade and I'm not anywhere near this level. Worse yet, it's rare to see this much CREATIVITY in most artists' work since so many depend on commissions to make a living, and commissions are very straightforward and defined. I see the appeal of AI art, but it really does feel like those years were... Not wasted, but rendered unimportant, if that makes sense.

@MegaGraceisCool totally a reasonable thing to feel, but look at it this way: it's not just art. AI is going to very soon do just about everything better than we do. You're not alone. We as a society have to figure out how to live with this reality.

Styles and compositions are taken from the real art. If you like ai generated more it just means you don't spend much time looking at and looking for art.

i think meshuggah's "glints collide" would be perfect for this, almost every line describes something that contradicts the laws of physics, it would be interesting to see how the ai would interpret that

EXACTLY. i always try and explain this to people how the ai sort of makes its own language while trying to imitate the english language. like what the hell is RIARRNITEAINNR EAINRT LLAINIIS?
