I agree with the rankings for the most part. I think he's in a no win situation. People don't like him cos he's juvenile but then people complain when he acts mature. They think he's boring and want the controversial Slim Shady back. He has dropped off but he'd still destroy Hov in a battle rap comp.

Nice to see some defense for recovery it's insane how that albums reputation changed. I still remember when it dropped it felt like 2002 all over again where Eminem was having a second peak and radio couldn't stop playing him. I remember Not Afraid, Love the Way You Lie and No Love were in constant rotation and the album was seen as Eminem re-finding himself. Only thing I feel has aged bad is him yelling every verse which makes listening to the album in full kind of difficult for me but hey when it works it works.

Eminem defo had a bigger impact on hip hop than Jay-Z id say him and 2Pac probly had the biggest impact on hip hop maybe even Lil Wayne and Kanye West. But the goat will always be Nas 🐐

My ranking SSLP (love it. Creative, funny and definitely in my top ten albums) The Eminem Show (Em is a GOAT producer for this one. Also my favorite rapping style from him) MMLP (a classic for a reason) MMLP2 (worthy being a sequel to his most acclaimed record) Relapse (pretty dope. Would be better if some of the songs didn’t have those damn accents) Recovery (would be better with more raw stuff rather than poppy radio fodder) Kamikaze (not a ton of replay value imo) M2BMB Side A (too long for treading the same style as Kamikaze) Infinite (def sounds like early AZ and Nas but still enjoyable) M2BMB Side B (worse version of the first) Encore (take out 4 or 5 tracks, it’s a pretty good listen. Theres a ton of unreleased songs from that era that soulda been there. Coulda been a banger double album.) Revival (a totally boring drag with a few gems sprinkled in here or there)

I agree with you on revival, although I’d probably have it 2.5 stars. I find that a lot of people who tend to say revival is the worst album ever they tend to know a lot of music. I say usually because some people do have a bigger music range and they absolutely justify why they don’t like it.

Yeah I listen to a ton of hip hop & Revival is pretty bad in comparison. I even listen to underground horrorcore & it’s even disappointing compared to the underground rappers. Underground honestly has some awesome music.

I liked Encore's songs. The worst songs like "My 1st Single" or "Ass Like That" are still atleast somewhat listenable. The good songs are great. If you listen to "Straight From The Lab EP" songs that leaked that were supposed to be on 2004's "Encore" and replace them with the bad ones, it'd be up to par with The Slim Shady LP.

Eminem is a legend but he has a pretty inconsistent discography. A lot of his albums hasn’t aged that good other than MMLP, SSLP and Eminem Show. I do agree with Recovery and Relapse those albums are way too overhated. I’m not a huge fan of Eminem and his music mostly because of his horrible fanbase and I do believe he is very overrated but he will forever be a goat. My List 1. MMLP 2. TES 3. SSLP 4. Relapse 5. @@ETBowser It was kinda hard because other than his first 3 classics the rest of his discography is still mid. But I still believe Relapse is the most enjoyable out of all the inconsistent albums he’s made. Some of his music is still enjoyable mostly his older music but some of his newer music is still good. Other than that, he’s forever a legend. And it’s mostly his stans that are the reason why I’m not a huge fan of his music.

Recovery is underhated, em really started leaning into the cringy punchlines and bars on that album, mmlp2 was better but didn't do as well commercially which is why he made recovery 2(revival)

30 seconds in and i can already say obviously Em has a bigger impact than Jay Z. I not pnly couldnt name any of his songs that didnt have a feature or him himself be one, but nobody in my surrounding area could either. Ive never once heard his solo music willingly played. Eminem, however, even if you're not a fan, i could pull up 15 single tracks and youd know who it was. My 4 year old son heard Til I Collapse at the local pool a month ago ane asked me if that was Eminem and i was shocked lol. Just staying, even radio alone doesnt bump Jay Z. I hear the same old shit all day at work and its eminem Love The Way You Lie Real Slim Shady Lose Yourself Monster Without Me Those tracks constantly and thats just now let alone the 2000s. I heard eminem songs before i knew who eminem was them going "oh that was him"? Lol
