This was when he was at the top of his game dude. He wasn’t kidding when he said people would wait for him in bathrooms and come sit next to him and ask him for autographs and photos when he was trying to just spend a day with his daughter. He couldn’t do anything without people either pointing the finger at him for everything bad in this world or shoving a camera in his face and trying to make him act like some clown. He was one of the first white rappers and everybody blamed him for copying black culture and that for some reason since he had a “ghetto accent” he was trying to be black. You don’t need to be black to have a ghetto accent idiots. You grow up in the same place and have the same slang because it’s who you hang out with growing up.

So ironic that Eminem's music gets censored when his music criticizes the ones trying to censor him and artists like Marylin Manson. The fact that his language actually resonated with people is exactly why censorship is wrong. He is as scary as the society he was brought up in. The censorship suggests that people would rather stick their heads in the sand and pretend that poverty and crime don't exist rather than recognize that his music is a real representation of American society and the effect that has on peoples mentality. All he ever did was express his mind without walking on eggshells.

People don't realize how different rap was back then. Eminem was white, and the world didnt like that, because white kids started listening to rap. 2:04 - 2:38 are some of my favorite verses in Em's entire discography because its so real, even 18 years later. The media blames music, drugs, video games on school shootings. But these shootings were happening all the time in black communities with no media attention. That's why there is a subtle emphasis when he says the word 'now.' " *Now* its a tragedy *NOW* its so sad to see, an upper class city havin this happenin."
@ethanbrock54535 жыл бұрын
Has nothing to do with being black communities, just poor communities
