This song sounds like it belongs on Recovery, everything from the production to the female hook to Em's voice (which is almost identical). Revival was made to include a bunch of different styles of songs so that every Eminem fan of each era/album could at least enjoy one, which is why the entire album is so versatile and no two songs sound the same. Tragic Endings = Recovery , Framed = Relapse , Remind Me = MMLP2, etc...

I am never quite sure. It's not obviously about drugs, especially because a toxic relationship is pretty well described as an addiction. "Never love again" on MTBMB is a lot more obvious but plays with the same entendres. There's some moments on this here where I think "Oh, well - it's OBVIOUSLY about drugs" but then the next line doesn't fit as much and I'm left confused. Guess it's a song that lets you pick whatever poison is bothering you at the moment. Love it.

@@frizzlethecat2084 I have been listening to a lot of Eminem lately and it just seemed liked the idea fit. The line, "But it's just in my DNA." just pushed me in that direction. Lol - I was watching this from a bit of a distance and thought "Wow.... how did they photoshop their icon that it looks like it's behind them?" Then I realized you have it on the backseat! 🤣 Love it - and I love this song. Damn... such a good song. Maybe not overly deep or anything but it's such a banger. The instrumental is sick (positive-sick!) and Skylar and Eminem mash together so beautifully.

So even when he's mad at her...she cries....lip quivers...all is forgiven! Until the next time! Two people that just are not good for each other! I've known people that do that....they dont want the girl back...but they dont want them with someone else either!!! I had an ex like that!
