Hi first time watcher here! The reason why animators shaped women with like tiny waists and big butts is because of character shape language! Men are usually rectangles so you’d want to contrast that with using round shapes which are used for women. It’s also because characters need to be iconic and recognizable even without the colors and facial features. That’s where Character silhouettes come from. But of course all rules can be broken

I understand why everyone loves Hinata and I do too but if I had to choose I Will always love SAKURA. Y’all can hate me on that. But Sakura for the most part was entertaining to me she’s the one I related to the most. She’s wanted to be strong and she got stronger she never had confidence cause she feels like she’s always behind Naruto and Sasuke. Plus she’s a great medical ninja thanks to her master! ight so before i say anything else *ahem* "Sakura is HOT GARBAGE" Hinata does amazing for a supporting character in the show while Sakura the apparent third main character of the show not only consistently fails/ gets in the way but does next to nothing compared to equal or lesser characters i.e Kakashi, Rock Lee, Tsunade, Itachi etc. hence why Hinata is ALWAYS > Sakura

I agree with Daidus Sakura is way better than Hinata,especially if you read the manga for some reason the anime decided to make her really annoying. Sakura’s not really useless she is way more useful than Hinata, yes she has the Byakugan but Sakura trained under Tsunade for three years. She’s medical ninja without her people would probably be crippled or dead. Most of the hate that she gets is from fanboys who just have only watch the anime and if she gets it from girls it’s because they ship Sasuke and Naruto together and she just happens to “be the way.”

For me,I just find her a dissapointment.Kishimoto should have given her fights to showcase her taijutsu skills.Hinata is a support character.She isn't supposed to do a whole lot of technically,she is supposed to do just as much as Shino and Kiba did.Being a medical ninja isn't a bad thing but with all the potential in taijutsu and super human strength,she would have been a living beast in battle but noooo,make her into your typical healer cause it seems women in anime are only good for healing and not standing their ground and fighting for the ones they love and care about

^Exactly. the anime just overtook the whole canonical series. The characterization differ between manga and anime until they needed to the series make the last movie make sense. Sakura get flack from ppl who watched her character go downhill as well as Hinata and NH definitely more than SasuNaru fans. Maybe in the beginning but by Shippuden not so much.

See, my arguement for that is Sakura did do more than Hinata, but as one of the main characters, she hasn't done nearly enough for me to like her and was even detrimental to the story at certain points. Honestly, it's a shame since she showed a lot of promise during the Gaara rescue arc. But the moment she laid eyes on Sasuke, her attitude regressed back to early Naruto, which pisses me off. Though I don't blame the character for that, it's the writing's fault.

You realize that Hinata actually has a lower success rate than Sakura right? She lost her fight with Neji without doing any damage, she was beaten by Pain without doing any damage, and that's pretty much her entire contribution to the canon. She spends the vast majority of the series as wallpaper because she's not Naruto or Sasuke. Honestly I agree.Sakura's taijutsu isn't the best but it was awesome.She deserved way more fight scenes but she was demeaned to a healer.I have no problem with healers but if the creator was gonna give her power that literally needs fighting then he should have given her fights.I also wish she stopped fangirling over Sasuke as much as she did.

If Kishimoto had put as much effort in her story as he did with the Boys (yes, i think all the girls deserved better) than she might have become part of the best Anime girls of all Time Group. Let's say he made her a headstrong girl who doesnt have a crush on Mister hotshot. Would have already put her appart from the croud. If she had a caring, older sister like side to her, than it would have made more sence for her to become a healer. Maybe make her the first healer since Tsunade who activly fights at the Frontline. And maybe make her the first person to tell Naruto to give up in Sasuke. Not becouse she hates him, but becouse every time they met, he gets hurt. She doesnt want that her friends get killed by another friend and tells him much, much sooner to leave him be.

Sakura was the worst. She chased after someone for years who thought nothing of her. She lied to Naruto that she did like him more than a friend, just to stop him from going after Sasuke.
