This is exactly why I love that she has gone into musicals. Her voice is such an elite vehicle of emotional expression. People who only know her as a power belter or for her dance-centric releases dont even realize how rich and colorful her voice can be.

The fact that she also got Changsub and Hongki, two of the greatest voices in Kpop with her was pretty remarkable. I wish there were more clips from Hunchback, though

Oh gosh her voice...this was dreamy. Yongsun singing C'EST LA VIE in red dress looking ever so beautiful...felt like heaven on earth. I think this is the 1st official release of this song in Yong's voice. She grew out of the idol industry & ventured into musicals and got rave reviews from both musical fans & critics...just goes to show her vocal range & versatility as an artist.

Her voice just makes me feel emotions in high definition. Watching this, I feel both the greatest joy and the bitterest jealousy. Still, I am overjoyed that even for people like me who can't go watch, there is still a record of her singing this for me to play desperately.

Solar venturing into the musicals is a step in the right direction. To me, it is an upgrade from being a typical kpop idol. She will also be treated with more respect. The kpop industry is constantly churning new idols that the public will always be on the lookout for younger, prettier and popular idols.

Although that might be true, I feel even within Kpop, she gets a lot of respect. To me, I feel her going into musicals allows her to further showcase the different ways she can use her voice to great effect. She's always been exceptional at painting a picture with her voice, and musical numbers give her more room to do so than a pop song does. It is cool to see her balance both yet keep them distinct because it exemplifies her wide vocal spectrum.

She might get more respect from Kpop fans but I wouldn’t say the same for musical fans. They are very critical on Kpop Idols entering into the musicals. No Kpop idol has become a successful house hold name in musicals yet. Exo’s Suho was a complete failure with real musical fans walking out on his performance. The only Kpop idols who came close are Wendy of Red Velvet and N Flying Yoo Hwe Seung. They are still considered rookies though. These musical companies are nice enough to give these Kpop Idols a big stage for their first musical and then they completely disappear to never appear on the big stage again.
