Not a hot take, but Emma literally hasn’t been branding herself as “relatable” for a while now. She’s literally attending fashion weeks, is the literal interviewer for the met gala for vogue. Her content has shifted to fashion content, she has a fairly successful coffee company, ofc she’s not the relatable teen girl we all started watching cause she was a teen girl like us. People grow and mature and that’s what I see Emma as now. Of course she’s not not gonna have designer items in her closet when she’s being invited to fashion events and it’s clearly something she enjoys. All she literally did was clean out her own closet filled with clothes that she paid for or were literally gifted to her. You cannot be mad at her for doing what she said she was gonna do 💀
@CozyIm15 күн бұрын
Exactly. She’s never branded herself, we just liked her because she actually WAS relatable. She has always posted her actual life and she still does as a successful young woman. The moment she started posting for views she felt stressed and stopped & went back to just posting her own life (When she was friends with the twins & James)

Emma is actively trying to improve her overconsumption, is recognizing what she is truly comfortable wearing, and she isn't flaunting her wealth with excessively sparkly, over the top high end brands in an extravagant walk in closet decked out in Birkin bags. She is wealthy, she is heavily tied into the fashion world, and she's still authentically posting the way her life looks. Anyone still looking for her to be 'relatable' with her wealth is bizarre to me. Her personality and perspectives on life are still relatable, her childhood, her experiences with friends and family, her hobbies, etc. My only qualm with that video, if I even have one, is that I was bored of her closet. Her current style isn't my personal taste and I don't fully understand most of what she owns. But I don't have to, she's just doing her. And that's fine lol

It’s more so about having one style that is not all trendy or forward, but one that is completely her. I think we are going back to styles that are more personal than “micro athletic-y” because this type of fashion (having too much you never wear any of it) has become less desirable to those in a deeply creative industry such as fashion. Plz look at Mina Le’s latest video!!

Comparison is the thief of joy, and if you need to go to therapy to learn that then I suggest over half the internet go and do that. It’s not about you and what you have /don’t have. Its about her personal progress and growth as an individual. Don’t watch it, and i suggest if you want to relate to something or someone, don’t watch influencers online. Something that I’ve seen that I honestly don’t understand is the fact that people are hating on old influencers that grew in fame and didn’t stay as just an influencer. You can’t be upset with someone who’s content is obviously going to end up changing, everyone changes, not everyone is going to be relatable to you or the next person, but can be interesting to watch. The Emma problem is so fucking valid, though. Yes, she’s a millionaire and has fashion for a living but being relatable is why she is a millionaire who works for the fashion industry. Without being relatable, she wouldn’t have been famous. That’s how iconically relatable she was, and is why a lot of people can’t follow her for the same reasons as they first did. Let people not find her relatable anymore, but let’s not forget how she got her bona fide celebrity status to begin with.

Emma has grown up and found her passion. FASHION. Of course she's gonna have a good amount of clothes due to what she now does for a living. Maybe saying "capsule wardrobe" was a bad word choice, but people need to chill. I watched the whole video and she is still herself just more mature because she has GROWN UP like everyone else in the world does. It's ok to miss her old content and her younger self, but that doesnt mean it's ok to criticize her for it. And as we see in the video, she got rid of SO MANY clothes and narrowed it down to what she has now. So I can see how maybe she would feel like it's a "capsule" wardrobe bc of all the things she got rid of. It may not be a capsule wardrobe, but given her career path in fashion and all the high end brands she models and represents, why is everyone so shocked that they are more expensive brands? I wasnt. People just love to criticize her. I swear every month theres a new thing people are picking on her for, and I always find them to be the most invalid things to complain about. I don't remember people saying this when she went to Vegas and bought a bunch of Gucci. She never claimed to be relatable, at least not since she was her teenage self. If you don't like her new vibe, content, etc. then don't watch her. Simple as that. Don't hate on her for not being her 15 year old self, because nobody is their 15 year old self forever. THAT is NOT relatable. And if she was then you'd criticize her for that too! And honestly, as someone who works with clothes myself, I actually found her relatable when she talked about how having so many things can get over whelming and you end up wearing the same things. It is physically impossible to be relatable to everyone. Not everyone in the world has the same struggles, morals, aesthetics, interests, financial situations, etc. People need to start putting their thinking caps on!

Euphoria is one of the best shows I've ever watched. I'm very excited for the next season and I hope it actually happens.

Oh my GODDDDD. I cannot be annoyed enough about Jacob Elordi. Why do people still think that they can be so mean about people's appearance and get away with it? There's nothing wrong with his beard, like literally who cares? I can't imagine how he must've felt seeing all those comments about him. It just disgusts me. 😤

People need to remember, that not all content is for them. If her closet video pisses you off, stop watching. Go along with your day, it's that simple. Everyone has their own vices in purchases. Her's is clothes, mine is Tamagotchis & Squishmallows. To each, their own~

Loving your changes! It shows your love for what you do. I just wish you would be on the right side of history on JC . Hoping you’ll get there GF because you don’t NEED to be @ his parties. Your better than that IMO I adore Sloan too & feel the same way. Wishing you all the best 💓

Jacob Elordi didn't look like a high schooler on Euphoria 😂he literally looked like a guy during his junior or senior year in college!!

Her parents ABUSE*, not parenting methods.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but people complaining about Emma being rich is one thing BUT pointing out that you don’t like her content because she’s clearly a huge consumerist that is really bad at admitting is another. Emma has always had issues with her addiction to shopping but at the same time tends to create videos around how *to fix that* when she hasn’t fixed herself, if that makes sense

I like Emma. That is her life that she is showing. It would be inauthentic for her to try to be relatable. She has always been herself

I thought the original cast bowed out of filming more euphoria. I wonder if they’ll start with a new cast now

Very true that Emma is a fashion influencer. Her closet reflects that. The internet is internetting.

Why would Emma need to be relatable? She’s been famous for a long time, has her own company, has become a reporter for red carpets, and has worked with many fashion brands. It’s not insane for her to have that closet!!!! People make a fuss about anything 😒

I don’t think influencers become influencers to stay relatable.

Can you imagine being the type of person that actually has an emotional reaction over…..Emma Chamberlain’s closet. I can confidently say I will not give her wardrobe another thought after watching this video🤣🤣🤣🤣
