Emma is singing in het native Dutch language. Rolf has a career in Holland and in all the Spanish speaking countries so he sings mainly in Spanish. You should listen to Rolf his version of Hotel California.
@Richard.Linder3 жыл бұрын
Emma is Dutch, but she usually sings in English. Ironically, singing in her own language is something different for her. Yes, you gotta check out Rolf singing Hotel California for Floor. It again shows just how talented and versatile the band is on this show. It really is amazing.

They were both singing in their native language. Emma in Dutch and Rolf in Spanish. Actually, Rolf is Dutch too but as he was born and raised in the Domenican Republic (Domenican mother and Dutch father) he has two native languages Spanish and Dutch.

Rolf was born and raised in Ede, Netherlands. At the age of about 22 he moved to the Dominican Republic to work on his Latin American music career.

@@speerboom Ooops, sorry, you are right. My fault. I saw all the episodes when they were still availiable on YT with English translations by Denise Hofs. Waited eagerly for her postings every week back in 2019. I knew he is Dutch and Domenican but obviously I didn't remember correctly were he was born. I'm getting old, it seems.

You are totally right! Music is from the heart, even if it is in a other language. Rolf Sanchez was last evening with a lot of other singers in a empty stadium (from Feyenoord, it is called De Kuip) normally almost 50.000 people can go in it but they sang a lot of songs in 3 hours. And the tickets for online were for free.. 2 million streams were there! They called The Streamers.

In this song rolf Sanchez sings in Spanish, but Emma sings in Dutch. so it's a nice combination of two languages

being multilingual is very normal in most western european countries especially the smallr countries like f.i. Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands, some like my former neighbour manage to speak and understand 8 languages, for myself its only Dutch,German,French,Spanish,Frisian and English plus various dialects like f.i. Niederdeutsch and Bavarian ....

Thanks for playing this! I love all the Beste Zangers songs, but this one is just fun and swings! The language switching between Spanish and Dutch is awesome (as well as Rolf and Emma!).

The Dutch learn English from about 6 years old, also we watch lots of American shows and play games in English, so that’s why most Dutch our fluent in English, but then in high school we learn other languages like German, french or Spanish.. we’re a really small country with a lot of cultures living in it, so it’s good to learn some different languages..

We learn multiple languages at school. Also we have certain kind of sounds in our dutch language which makes it easier for us to learn for example arabic or chinese. (not many of us speak those languages). I speak dutch, german, english, greek and spanish. Greek was the most difficult language to learn. We just like languages ;-)

It is funny that its a surprise that others are multilangual. I am Dutch and lived in the States when I was younger. And Amercians normally only speak Engish unless the have a different background. When I was in highschool back in the Netherlands I learned Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish en because I choose a special education I also learned Greek and Latin. It's is very normal in our country to learn at least 3 or 4 languages.. By the way, if you ever get the chance maybe you could look at some Maria Mena songs. She is amazing, and she has a sounds that I have never heard before. Keep up the good work!

This is a combination of Dutch and Spanish . Ralf is famous by the dutch teenage girls and maybe some boy's haha. He is a child of a mixed parent's . that's why his Spanish is so good. We dutch do speak English and German and a lott also france . that is because we get it learnt at our schools. Every child will get English even de lowest level of schools and German 2. France and even Latijns are for the smarter kids. So that's why 90% of the dutch speaks and understand English whitout subtitles. Haha. Crazy country isnt it? 😂❤🙌

As a german for me its totally normal to ignore the texts for maybe 90-95% of the time and only listen to voice as an instrument. The good thing of that is also that you are not turned of by bad texts since its easy for me to ignore them what i can't do when i hear songs in german. Beside the fact of course that there is not much good music with german texts at all 🙄
