Incredible video. A real punch to the heart, as it should be. Emma, you are amazing. The strong indigenous women and children speaking for the disappeared here, are everything the rest of us should be. I will work harder to do more. 🌿

Emma, you have been given a gift. Your choice to use this gift to spread hope to "your people", and shame to "mine", is worthy of praise. You have power in your voice, but your message is so much greater. You have just brought tears to the eye of a 48yr old white guy... and I wish to thank you.Take flight little one, spread your wings. I am looking forward to the day when we are all "one people". Wantaqo'ti!!

I have only discovered Emma tonight, and I am SO IMPRESSED! Emma, I hope you keep singing, and doing it in your own language, too! If you choose to make that your career, I know you can be successful. Even when you hit those bumps in the road, never give up! Always remember that you have an incredible voice, and you can do anything you want - even if record executives tell you otherwise! Don’t take “no” for the final answer. I would love to go to one of your concerts someday! I wish you the best the world can offer you!

I love your voice tuse. You have so much talent and beauty to share with the world. You also make me want to follow my late grandmother's foot steps " Sarah Denny" oq... I wanna teach Mi'kmaq dancing; while I chant the song's she sang when I was young girl. I stayed away from our culture bc of my alcohol and drug abuse; out of respect for our culture. Now... I think I am ready to shine like I never did before. I know this is my calling and wish to share and teach our culture to who ever want's to learn. You don't even know how much I look up to you and what your doing. You inspire me to do more then what I already accomplished in my life. I love music and been playing the guitar since I was 10 year's old and writing song's since I was 13 year's old. I only sang my song's to few ppl that are close to me. Maybe I should start sharing my music too. Keep up the beautiful work your doing tuse. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

As well as a testimonial to the talent, ingenuity and suffering of our indigenous neighbours and original Cape Bretoners, it also underlines the contributions of Carter Chiasson to the Eskasoni community.

Wonderful song. And wonderfully produced. Thanks to all who had a hand in it. Don't stray too far or too long from your culture. The insights gained over thousands of years in the nature of the land and the spirit that we share is profound. That is your refuge, not modern consumer society - which has to be accepted for what it is.

I listen to this song more than a few times one night, wake up with the sun coming up over neighbors roof, above the creek,, I see the gal with the acoustic guitar,, rising sun is right behind her head, light shining thru her hair,,, I do not see them like 3 times a week any more, just occasionally, that's all, she would probably say, have fun, don't worry about me,, don't try to play detective,, just a split second I see them, between sleep and being awake!? Sometimes in middle of day, another time, I will see a light coming up the country road, following the curves,, maybey it's the kid on his bycycle,, not this time!! Go too gas station, she will start talking over the p.a. where you talk to the cashier over the speaker by the pump, next thing the cashier comes out of the mini mart, looking like he just saw a ghost, scared , look on his face!!? That's enough,, they come like they used too,, tho', like 3 times a week!! No lol!? I have no idea,, my tribes are gone, maybey a medicine man would know, the reasons?? Good song , I wanna rise,, like lac a wanna New York,, must have been more of us,, French liked us enough, name a lake after us,

Here's a few more for you??? No lol

There is no sin in the hearts of ANY 2 people in love.We have no control over who our hearts love. Jesus said your treasure is where your heart lies.Mine lays on my chest. There is sin in lust as in rape, child molesting, child sex trafficking, girl genital mutilations, pornography etc In Mathew 6 Jesus teaches us how to pray. He said go to your room and close the door and do it in secret as your Fathr sees in secrets.Only God knows your true heartGod is not religious or keep any holy days.Every day with the Lord is Holy.Jesus wants you to have a personal relationship with God The one. Following Jesus you will go to heaven or hell as the Church tells you Its their law. Near Death Experiences on youtube will show you.Jesus saves.Let God be yoour judge jury and executioner .Ask for a sign and one will be given. Jesus was a flower child a free spirit. God is not religious God is LOVE. iTS A GOOD VIBRATION
