the fashion industry has always been so brutal when it comes to animals. like its as if its not enough to kill an animal to wear but they have to chuck in a live one for accessories. the look on these poor creatures faces, scared and confused. this is the most tackiest fashion show I have ever seen.

Jen Train Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. I love to watch fashion shows, and I love fashion for its creativity and as a form of art. I just wish it wouldn’t include any form of animal cruelty. It’s easy to avoid real fur or real leather and live a vegan lifestyle, but at the same time, even a vegan lifestyle cuts down on natural resources that ultimately affect the animal populations across the world. I see the contradiction and hypocrisy in all of that. However, I wish the fashion industry would eliminate unnecessary “in your face” type of animal abuse, such as producing fur. The fashion industry itself has such a huge platform to promote positive viewpoints and standards, that it’s hard to witness the neglect to promote animal wellfare. When even the beauty product industry has become more aware and as a result is promoting more and more products that are produced cruelty free, it’s disappointing to see that the fashion industry doesn’t follow suit. They made some positive strides in promoting a healthy body image and avoid body shaming, and make it a more diverse industry as far as promoting all ethnicities as a beauty standard and eliminate racism on the runway. Why can’t they do the same for the wellfare of animals.
