People use blue ballpoint pen. Because Viewers can easily find out that this is ballpoint pen art.....not graphite.......blue is different colour commonly used only ball pen.....but I'll try black ball pen my next video......thank you for this question....

I have used quite a few colours…the strong ones ie basic blue red black and green seem to have impact while most of the others dont seem to work as well as regards contrast. Ink flow shouldn’t be a problem so long as stick to known brands
