On felling bad for not being productive. One of the Green brothers, not sure whether it was Hank or John, recently said something like “I produce my own happiness” (I might totally mess up the quote here but that’s the gist of it) and I find that a very beautiful thing to say because it kinda helps to allow yourself to feel good about being “unproductive”. At least it helps me to get there in baby steps

To this day villains is one of my favourite albums. It got me through ending an abusive relationship, all of the songs just put all my emotions into words. Icarus will forever remain my favourite, the lyrics and vibe are just beautiful, words could never do it justice.

everyone is like "omg Emma I'm so proud of you for releasing this new album it's great!" Meanwhile, I'm just thinking omfg her hair is getting so long and I'm legit proud of her for not cutting it or bleaching it and I'm unsure why I'm so emotionally invested in the health of the hair of a person I have never met. BUT THE ALBUMS GREAT BTW

I really love the acoustic version, the whole album just sounds so good, it’s kind of like it has a different perspective than the regular version (which sounds crazy b/c they have the same songs/lyrics but it feels that way). Amazing job!

My favourite content is whatever you feel happiest making. You can tell when someone is enjoying the content they're making and I am HERE for that. Even though beauty stuff has never been my thing I would gladly watch hours worth of makeup tutorials or whatever if it's what you enjoy making! I also love how your content has evolved over the years. A lot of people never change their content and I find it a little too repetitive. I don't think there's a single change I haven't liked, I've enjoyed every era of Emma XD + the acoustic album slays. The original did too.

So glad Third Eye is a main stay for the future tours. It's my favorite song on the normal version of Villains and probably 3rd favorite from the acoustic version (behind Fake Friends and Take Me Out). I've seen some of your live performances, and the energy when you do Third Eye is so amazing and fun.

I am from what most people call the states, I'm from Long Island NY. completely obsessed with this album. I had never heard the original until after this version. Idk they are both great!! I'm a sucker for a just a girl her own lyrics with the guitar in the backround. Totally in love congrats!!
@emmap.90644 жыл бұрын
I must say, I'm usually not a huge fan of acoustic guitar as the main instrumental for songs- let alone a whole album. Nevertheless, this edition of the album was wonderful! I do think I slightly prefer most originals, but I was surprised to see my favourites change completely depending on which version of the album I'm listening to! You outdid yourself on this one Emma, congrats! 🖤

@@emmablackery A bit of both, in regards to my personal life and your content during that time. Two years ago was the start of my corporate life. So, I didn't had much time with KZbin since I choose to play video games and go outside with friends during my days off. I always feel tired after work, so I just eat and sleep from Monday till Thursday when I get home. It is also the fact that some of your vlogs during that time were getting longer, around 20 - 30 minutes and I didn't had it in me to watch a whole thing unless the topic was about behind the scenes stuff regarding your music or some personal stuff that you were willing to share. Although, I do miss your sketch videos. P.S I am currently studying again to change my career path. I resigned from the said corporate job mere months ago. So, I'll probably be active on KZbin and might do some catch up on what is going on with your channel. Haha

I think the idea of you making a Burn the Witch video where you burn the body of your past self is badass. And despite what you’ve said about expensive music videos, maybe you could make a lower production video with eerie vibes. Like a “lost footage” or some creepy video where you use the production skills you’ve obtained since the release of Villains so you don’t accidentally spend 10,000 or more dollars.

In the first 1-2 years of my current job there was a massive rumour going around saying that I was pregnant. I only found out about it when someone came up to me and asked me if I was pregnant and I said no and she just looked at me and said ‘are you sure though...?’ She asked me about 4-5 more times and in the end I basically just said to her ‘I’m not pregnant, I’m just a bit fat 🤷♀️’ then decided I should go on a diet to stop that rumour. Also I was single at the time so I literally had no chance of getting pregnant 😂
