Thank you so much for this video, Emma! ❤ Congratulations to your lovely new studio - and new pastel trays! ❤ Stunning collection! 😊 Your info about grays, was just great - time to compare my own, to get a better sense of where they ought to be! 😅 Instead of more or less together, in a confusing sort of way... 😆 Thanks again! ❤

Emma, your studio is already looking like home. I lo-o-o-ve that window letting the light stream in and the hints of green 🌿 thank you for sharing your studio setup work in progress so that we can also see problems that arise and how to overcome them when dealing with our own studio setup. I'm looking forward to moving my pastels into my printers tray, And can't wait to see Donkey 💞

Hullo Emma, thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge with us! I have only tried a few Terry Ludwig sticks, they are just so expensive! I have purchased some of the Blue Earth pastels and I have been very excited to use their selections of shades! You can get very subtle shifts in colors through vibrancy and hue or shade. I got a really fantastic deal on the full set of Schminke soft pastels, yet in reality that set is only 400 sticks! If they were not at half price they would have been way out of my price range! I even recently found the Art Spectrum collection from a friend who’s mother had just passed away and they were going to throw them away! I offered to help clean up her studio and they only wanted her finished art or nearly finished pieces. I saved several paintings and studies that I told them they should consider framing them as they are truly inspirational and quite lovely on their own! I even sorted her supplies out for them to donate and sell on e-bay so they can get some cash for them, as well as tax benefits! I am now thinking about my own stacks of supplies, I have to decide what I truly want to use and the mediums I must pursue with the time I have left! The lady who passed was only 5 years older than me. Sorry for dragging the comments down. You are truly inspirational and so generous with your pastel instructions, thank you.

Thank you! This is very helpful. Love seeing your new studio in process of setting up and beginning to work again. The idea of covering the pastel palette between uses is very useful. Are those pastel pencils in the basket?

Those trays are a pastel heaven 😍👌……I’ve always wondered….when you have finished painting for the day, do you whack a load of hand cream on ? I can’t bare having much pastel on my hands, but you get stuck right in there lol. So your hands must get really dry. Just curios x

Hi Lynn, I don't use hand cream but maybe I should! I also don't mind the feel of the pastel and it washes off pretty easily. Doesn't seem to make mine dry but everyone's skin is different.
