Holly was my first soap crush. I was 12 when this aired. I loved her so much & seeing these clips again, I love her more. I love her cuteness, her straightforwardness, her awareness, her adorableness. She looks so cuddly & natural. Soaps back at this time were the best! This was the first time (well July 1982) I was GH, my first soap opera ever. I will always love cute adorable Holly. I love the way she looks on this show with her curly hair & her dimples, her nice eyes & Holly suits her for a name! She's a darling!

Yeah, she lovely & her accent is so kool. But, I feel like Emma’s afraid of Geary. Her delivery has been halting & unsure through out the storyline, like she’s not putting her whole self into Holly’s supposedly great love for Luke. For that matter she doesn’t seem that much in love w/Scorpio either. & Geary could have been engaging with Holly on a green screen in this scene, w/Emma’s character added later in the final cut. Yikes, depressing to watch!

I think everybody back then knew that, plus, there just wasn't the chemistry between Luke and Holly that there was between her and Robert or him and Laura. Of course, I know where you're coming from, back when I was like 10, I thought Laura should have stayed with Scotty! I was definitely alone in that one ...

No, you weren't! Luke stole Laura from Scott while Scott was alive. Robert had more nobler reasons for what he did; he wanted to save Holly from being deported and help raise Luke's child. All because he thought Luke was dead. And it took a long time for r & h to consummate their marriage--she sincerely loved Luke!

You weren't alone. I preferred her with Scotty. But TG'S charisma and acting chops somehow turned a rape into a rape seduction. What the hell? The bottom line was ratings. GH was going to be cancelled, and Gloria Monty remembered TG from another soap. Somehow, he became sympathetic to the audience, and he became this glorified anti-hero. As for me, the choice was obvious: Robert Scorpio all the way!

Holly and Luke did not have the chemistry LnL had. He didn't look at Holly like he did Laura. He certainly didn't kiss her like he did Laura. I swear i dont know how Laura still had a face, he should have kissed thst face completely off! He was always kissing Laura and passionately.

The one thing I noticed about the kiss in this scene with Holly is that you really didn’t see it. Whenever he and Laura kissed, the camera always zeroed on their faces. It was also obvious that some of those kisses weren’t fake,

Yes they did a 360 on Scott's character from.the late 70"d to current day. They did the same thing with Luke. No wonder Laura went nuts.

Scotty was a nice, attractive young guy who loved Laura and wanted to build a life with her. He didn't deserve what happened to him. When he punched Luke into the water, Luke deserved it. Running away with his wife after raping her! Sure, I loved all the adventures of L & L but people seemed to forget him and what he went through. All the bitterness and betrayal made him a "bad" guy. But that started after L & L ran away.

@@katydalton4759 I agree, Scott was a nice guy and did want to make a life with Laura. Luke was very wrong and did deserve being knocked over in the water. But Luke was a better fit for Laura and yes he raped her. She fell in love with Luke though, no one twisted her arm. She tried hard not to, but Luke was the one. Scott was done wrong, very wrong. (Ken and Genie even broke up in real life because he was taken away from being her husband on the show. ( no more scenes together).
