Thank you for sharing. I actually searched up this topic because I will be teaching very soon. While I'm excited to teach, I've always wanted to be a mom and start a family in my mid twenties. As a kid, my mom was a stay home mom, so I don't really have an example in my life of a woman who works and mothers. So, this video was really appreciated and showed me that teaching and mothering at the same time is possible. :)

I appreciate this video so much! I had my daughter when I was 17. My daughter is now 4 and I just finished my 3rd year of college and I’m so close to becoming a teacher! I’m nervous about balancing the two, especially as a new teacher. I love that you are including your mom life ❤️

I love this and thanks for sharing. I also work in a school ( pre school teacher) and I’m a mum of three. It’s so refreshing to see you be honest with the juggle of being a mum and working. Your doing a fantastic job!

I enjoy all your vlogs but I really enjoyed this one because I am also learning how to navigate my new role as a teacher mom. I teach kinder, and I am a mama of a 9-month-old. I appreciate your willingness to share this part of your life. It is nice to know that I am not the only one struggling to balance being a mom and a teacher. I constantly remind myself of how blessed I am to be able to do what I love and come home to my sweet little man! We got this, Emma!

I had babies 18 months apart, it was a bit of a struggle to balance work and babies. My husband had a schedule where he was home a couple days a week, on those days I would stay at work to plan and grade. The other days I left work as soon as I could. It takes time, but you just have to find a balance that works for you. Your so lucky that you don’t have to worry about daycare.

My one and only is headed to high school this year. I have begged him to go to the high school where I teach, but he has refused. He wants his I dependence, but I am not ready! I miss that cuddly baby I could pick up and snuggle. I wish I could say it gets easier. It just changes. Enjoy the rest of the summer!

What I loved about this, and it has nothing to do with teaching… Ellie was trying to get your attention while you were on the computer. Instead of petting her while you were working, you sat the laptop down and gave her some attention! I find myself way too often getting sucked up into what I have to do that I fail to see the desperation in the eyes of my kids and my pet. It tells them “my work is more important.” I’m so glad that you put DOWN that laptop! The 0.7 second action spoke volumes to me. Thank you.

And Emma… may I add that you are doing a splendid job at balancing. You don’t see it, but the little bit of your life that we as viewers see, girl, you’ve got it down. I have 2 boys (preteens now), and I would NOT have had my life as together as you seem to. Again, you may not see it, but you are so much more mature than most others your age. I am almost TWICE your age, and I wish I could be more like you. 😎
