My very first piece was actually made by my son. I think he was 5 at the time. He got an orange and black butterfly charm out of a gumball machine and put it on an orange and black bracelet. This was before I started raving and I thought it was so sweet of him. He's 10 now and I still have that bracelet in my "do not trade" bag. Now he's helping me make perlers! My first real trade was at a foam party. This guy gave me a tee shirt that said "wet af" and ran off. He came back a few minutes later with a matching kandi. I can't bring myself to get rid of that tee shirt even though I never wear it. Trades are just too special to me.

My sister’s been a raver for a LOOONG Time. She has over 200 kandi. 💀💀 She keeps some of them in my room. I’ve really always wanted to be at a rave festival but obviously I’m not of age. But it seems really cool!

Love seeing all of your amazing kandi!!! Could you possibly do a video/podcast about the pressure of EDM social media and comparing yourself to others? I struggle with feeling inadequate because I don’t have the money to have intricate outfits, shoes, go to certain festivals etc. Also I feel like because I am new to the scene and don’t know how to make much kandi and don’t know certain artists I am less than. The superiority complex in the community weighs on me and I would love to hear your take on it.

rdmgirl0 I went last year but only for day 2 :) the lineup was out early August. I dressed up as a unicorn but it was so packed that I felt really hot most of the night. This year we might do a rave fam one so maybe power rangers.

jballa756 oh man just practice and patience haha! I’ve also tried taping down one end of the string for Kandi and that helped me avoid spilling any beads or dropping the string 👏🏼
