just some non-related tips: - You got a trophy for mapping. Maybe check out with Iselda; - Check the blue lake, it's worth it; - There's one more "fight with friend" boss battle; - You got an item called Love Key, there's a place in Hallownest that have a name related to it. - Last video you unlocked Confessor Jiji, she can retrieve your shadow from far places, if it's not worth traveling there; That's it! i'm loving your videos! keep up the awesome work!!!!

Emma, I really enjoy your playthroughs. Now that you have reached the first dreamer, I would like to give you a tip: Go hunting for charms (a lot of them are in the wild), and read up on the charms that you have. I see that you haven't seen the real magic of Shaman Stone yet, you absolutely should use it! Also, all spells deal damage, even Desolate Dive! In fact, it is really good in fights!

Hey just in case you didn’t know, the shadow cloak dash can make you phase through enemies and their attacks ! It’s really useful when fighting the Mantis traitors for exemple, you can just dash in their direction when they’re about to charge at you ( provided your shadow dash is useable of course ) and then backstab them a couple of times, repeat until dead.

If you're wondering what's up with those dead infected bush creatures you passed by the drop to Deepnest, they are there because of an interaction you could have had earlier in the game (before you got the double jump).

Trust me Emma, howling wraiths is gonna be one of your best friends. You can cast it midair like any other damaging move. It’s unique in that instead of being one damaging blob like the vengeful spirit, it’s 16 rapid-fire strikes and when all 16 hit it deals absolutely devastating damage, more than twice as much as VS. Very handy for things that float/fly, or if you’re feeling daring, closer-than-melee range damage dumping

That won't be soon I guess... She's not even using desolate dive except for unlocking secrets, even when I wrote it for her for like 2-3 videos in respectful, non-spoiler manner... And that wasn't only me too. Not hating on her or anything, but a phrase from a previous video: "I like being bad just to watch haters suffer" says a lot I think.

Just kind of a minor correction to help you sort the lore bits out in your brain, you said when you saw the statue of Hollow Knight in the City of Tears that the dreamer icons were marked. That actually happened when you passed out in the Resting Grounds before talking to the moth seer. The Hollow Knight Statue marks the Temple of the Black Egg in the Crossroads. It’s all interconnected of course but maybe this will help you know what’s going on?

Make no mistake - queen's garden contains some of the toughest enemies and platforming in the whole game. Don't let that pretty aesthetic fool you! Also for a nice visual clue as to the origin of the mantises that you meet there, take a trip back (or watch some of your old footage) to the mantis lords throne room.

Emma the snail girl Jiji in dirtmouth can summon your shade for you ao you don't have to go through the trouble of retracing your steps. Also you should try to see if you can free that bug back in the fungal wastes now that you can double jump and watch through acid

I wouldn't be surprised if *that bug becomes her favorite character in the game if she manages to rescue her. It will be such wholesome content and I'm here for it. Also, I always felt like Jiji is a good mechanic in theory but isn't very practical for most times you die.

Another great video! I haven't seen anyone recognize Quirrel's mask before he actually uses it. A tip for charm locations if you want to do some backtracking: . . . . . . . . . . Greenpath, Forgotten Crossroads and Crystal Peak all have paths trailing off somewhere around the centre of the area. And another place that's very hard to find, because the map is already filled in: Fungal Wastes, in the spot where it connects to Queen's Garden and Deepnest.

17:08 thats why you should alway getting your soul back immediately, just saying :) Also, don't worry about full panic mode :D :D Just try to be aware of the area (solid ground, possibilities to heal, etc) Quality of life tips: Try to get a sense for the distance of the dash. I think this will improve your gameplay very much :) Try to get used to your secondary abilities (shriek, desolate dive) in combat. They aren't not just for environmental purposes (breaking floor) but also for combat because of high-value damage output. Besides that, you're doing a good job!! :) 1:31:35 for Emma jumpscare compilation :D

Emma watching you walk around with a broken shell for that long at the start just gave me anxiety. thanks 😂 There's still so much to explore and discover. I'd suggest the Soul Sanctum again in the city (edit: you'll want that fancy key from Sly), and go rescue the friend down by Mantis Village but you do you! It's awesome to watch no matter what.

Try using your Spells while in combat. they do considerable damage compared to the nail. and Desolate dive gives you invincibility frames. Howling wraiths is for flying enemies or when they jump over you, D dive is for Lots of ground enemies, and Vengeful spirit is good for getting collateral hits on the enemies.

Glad you used the dream nail on Monomon multiple times. So many playthroughs I've seen don't try that. Getting their whole dialogue gives more insight into each Dreamer's personality.

That drop into deepnest is how people may stumble into it early game, without a lantern. One possible path involves the other free fall in deepnest into the little spa and bench, where they eagerly sit for a rest, locking themselves into deepnest ☠️

Oh my gosh, Mushroom Pasta sounds so delicious right now! I haven't made any dinner plans, I just ate some porridge with blueberries and strawberries as lunch with some tea, but maybe I¨ll attempt to make that mushroom pasta later.. :D Also great video today! I would also like to note that, I don't know if you've figured it out yet or not, but you can actually faze through enemies now that you have the shadow dash, it's just that it has a bit of a cooldown everytime you dash with it ^^

If you had Shaman's Stone equipped, you might have beaten Uumuu on your first attempt. I highly recommend buying that Elegant Key Sly has and think on where you've previously encountered a big fancy door...

In addition to what others said about the shadow dash and the other spells at your disposal, I just want to once again bring up the fact that you can parry/deflect most melee attacks from enemies, bosses included (certain projectile attacks can be deflected too, but that's only in rare cases). It can be admittedly tricky to get the timing down for that particular mechanic, but it can be a real lifesaver once mastered. Thankfully, having the Longnail charm equipped makes it a bit easier to pull off. Hope that helps! 😉

Not to tell you how to play, but I found (a tiny bit) easy mode was using some charm combo of Soul Catcher (or Soul Eater), Grubsong, Shaman Stone, Spell Twister. Means you can use spells a lot more often and easily regen soul as you play.

Hi, I'm still watching the video but there's something you still haven't realized about magic. you can use them by jumping. If you jump and can't reach an enemy above you, you can use the scream spell. If you are in the air and see an enemy below you, you can use the ground punch magic.
