I never actually viewed this as a break up song, I saw it as a song that expresses Garbiella's loss of her individuality and the pain of not having Troy to back her up because throughout this whole film he was barely ever around her so I think it's more of a song about wanting things to go back to the way they are and she feels the only way to go back to the way she is is to leave the place she has been employed and hope for everything to change back to before... Although, that's just my opinion other people would view this differently from how I view it ^_^
