This song is obviously about my soulmate dying much too young much too innocent. I've never used the term sweet other than to describe the way I like my tea my soulmate's name was Charlie he was a shih tzu. I had him 12 years, and the dog or I should say Charlie was the sweetest dog I've ever met. A pure pleasure with him. For 5 years we were homeless, culminated into a profound trust love and loyalty for each other . He wasn't a dog and I ,wasn't his master. Charlie was the viola, I, the brassy trumpet. 🎺 RIP Charlie.

This song is arresting. It's a love song. Two people, masters of their mode of expression, sing their quiet, powerful aching love for each other. The softer more delicate vibrations of the strings are feminine, the strong brassy tones of the trumpet are masculine. Between the two of them they construct point and counterpoint in the melody, blending their individuality into a poignant harmony. Who can get enough of a love like this?

Wonderful performance by Lucia and Chris, and I know they have performed this many times and it is not easy to replicate the same experience, but this was not even close to being the best overall. Their appearance in Boston is twice as good but for some reason it was taken off KZbin. Trust me, you will get even bigger chills hearing that version.
