Some people say "J.S Bach didn't write this BWV-1033". But I have been loving this. this menuet are consisted of three parts by menuet 1, menuet 2, and, the second menuet 1. Accordingly the second menuet 1 is filled with brilliant ornament. We'll listen to 3rd movement. After all, the impression of the final menuet is much different from the impression of the first menuet 1..... And, strongly I am seriously believing that the ornament playing is as same as the improvisations of modern Jazz. Isn't this phenomenon a kind of habits of baroque music? And I must say Mr.Pahud's performance is awfully good.

Ladies and gentlemen, I regret to tell you this, but this piece was a transcription by Karl Philipp Emmanuel from a concert by Christoph Förster (1693 - 1745), which he attributed to his (Karl's) father. But, beautiful nevertheless.

Whenever JS Bach transcribed any other composer, he would always embellish the music by adding inner voices/ counter motives and especially enrich the bass line, therefore the result is a lovely hybrid piece (it's true though that the length of each movement of this sonata is a bit short for Bach)

Elaine Shaffer, the brilliant student of William Kincaid (and recipient of Kincaid's platinum flute at his death) recorded the Bach Sonatas on two volumes on the Angel label many years ago. I have both volumes on LP, no less, and admire her full, rich, round sound along with her impeccable musicianship. Pahud's version of this particular sonata is very interesting indeed. The tempi are most pleasing. I have some Pahud recordings, but I must admit I'm not a total convert to his bright sound.

Brilliant, technisch perfekt, dennoch wirken die Stücke wie mit derselben Briliianten-Sauce übergossen. Schade für die "Begleiter", die nur im Hintergrund zirpen und summen, von der modernen Metallflöte überstrahlt. Das packende Zwiegespräch zwischen Bass und Oberstimme in den Sonaten mit Contiuno bzw. der Kontrapunkt zwischen den 3 Stimmen der Sonaten mit obligatem Cembalo kommen nicht zur Geltung. Und damit auch nicht die komplexe Komposition Bachs. Nur in der letzten Triosonate in G mit 2 Flöten sind Bass und Cembalo annähernd ausgewogen zu den Flöten. Die Metallflöte passt einfach nicht zu den alten Instrumenten, wenn man erst einmal andere Klänge kennen gelernt hat...

Dietrich Wachsmuth Wovon ist hier die Rede? Ist doch nur eine einzige Sonate in dem Video enthalten, und zwar die in C-Dur BWV 1033 - die heute nicht mehr für ein Wert Bachs gehalten wird. Evlt. hat er sie als Solowerk für Flöte konzipiert, vermuten einige, und ein Schüler habe dann die (ungeschickte) Begleitung dazukomponiert. Nachzulesen in der Wikipedia.

tecnicamente è bravo non c'è dubbio! Ma a me non piace questa interpretazione "finto filologico" con le note lunghe non sostenute. Poi anche il suono, non c'è vibrato, sembra attacato ad un compressore. Preferisco sicuramente l'interpretazione di Gazzelloni!
