Thank you for addressing the infertility line. As someone who is suffering with infertility issues it made me want to throw the book out the window

I am glad I won't be spending my money on this book. The infertility part would be to triggering.

The way I screamed, "preach" with you talking about Knox. LMAO.

I hated him so much 😭 I kept waiting for a midpoint moment of growth where he would…stop being awful? But nope.
@keelypeden9784 Жыл бұрын
He really didn't have any kind of character arc. 😢

Knox was genuinely SO insufferable. Grown man behaving with the emotional maturity of a 12 year old. You’re so right about Ali Hazelwood’s men- they genuinely LIKE women. Not just their love interests- but just… women in general. They don’t reek of toxic masculinity and internal misogyny like Knox-type characters. And the excessive amount of MAN HANDLING??? She would explicitly tell him no and he would just… pick her up and carry her wherever?? Not sure about the details since I read it last year. AND THE PERIOD TALK disguised as normalizing periods????? I’m sorry this is so long but god this book made me mad sometimes

The way he constantly man-handled her and cross boundaries before, during, and after their relationship (ESPECIALLY after) bothered me so much!

I can’t finish it because of how insufferable Knox is

That infertility line crossed a line. That is disgusting. The author and editors should’ve proofread it again and taken that line out 🥴 anyway, Knox sucks. I wholeheartedly agree.

The early 2000’s romance was a perfect way to describe it. I tried to explain to my friend it’s kinda of like a hallmark movie but not hallmark but some other tv channel that doesn’t get views but the side characters are pretty cool. lol

I did not think I would finish it. From the first few sentences, it was screaming Hallmark movie. I could feel the terrible plot coming. Knox KILLED ME. Him gaslighting Naomi into thinking SHE was the one who couldn’t handle the “no ties sex” when he’s the one who made her sleep over at his house and then get ready there. She said a few times that they weren’t supposed to be getting close and he kept convincing her to ignore their agreement. Ugh. I guess I loved to hate him because I finished the book. I do want to know if Nash’s story is better. I low key wanted Naomi to end up with Nash

I forced myself through 150 pages of that book. No hate to the author I’m sure it’s for someone but personally I hated it so much I lit it on fire

Preach! About Knox and the period talk and the 90s/00s type of relationships! It was all a bit contrived. The smut was pretty good but the plot is totally dramatic/over the top. Still couldn't put it down though! Was terrible writing - read better put together fanfiction. Knox i, unfortunately, a guilty pleasure kind of character, would absolutely not be in my life if he was a real person, but I can see the dangerous appeal he has. He's like a much more nasty Luke from Gilmore Girls. Frankly, I think you should just skip this book and watch Gilmlre Girls now I think about it...Still read it in 2 days 😅

That's not a series I've had any interest in so I don't see myself picking that one up. I got this one because a friend really loves it but at the time I think neither of us really had a full grasp on what I do and don't like in romance.
