AP's "Disney moment" at the end there was more of a parody. Something deliberately and absurdly out of place for the sake of maximum comedy when his happiness is crushed. It's one of the most cartoony moments in the show and I'm very here for it.

@Doctah Wahwee I think it's the animators, now stuck working for Disney, making low key fun of their employer. I doubt the execs watch every episode of rebels or included this scene to "make fun of themselves." You've never met an executive. They do not make fun of themselves. They are some of the most arrogant, narcissistic, unfunny people you'll ever meet.

AP-5’s almost musical moment is my favorite in all of Star Wars, it cracks me up every time! He is my favorite droid personally, but I always love him with C1-10p, they are perfect for each other.

A lot of Imperial workers, specifically in the field of intellegence like those people on the ship talking like robots, are connected to little computers that attach to the brain and boost performance at the cost of the person's humanity, at least for the most part. A few people are able to come back to themselves like Lando's friend Lobot and, for a time, Ezra's rodian friend from season 1

Yes, the ending to this was a bit weird. It was intentional, though. Some of the moments George Lucas put in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films were just for fun, and to lighten the tone in a story that takes place during a war. The Star Wars adventures weren't supposed to be taken too seriously, and sometimes it's good to be reminded of that with a bit of silliness.

So apparently sending enough data is enough to cause an electrical surge and explode a ship? Man I downloaded like 400 gigs the other day and my computer didnt explode. Guess I got lucky. This is a perfect example of stuff that takes me out of things because so many bad decisions all around that seem just beyond dumb for the sake of making the story last longer. And somehow Chopper getting zapped once is enough to reset his programming? The way droids are used in this kinda..... convenient
