Precocious acting talent. It’s just a shame that, in typical Emmerdale fashion, the writers are giving ‘April’ the kind of dialogue that no child of her age would have the depth of life experience to come out with. What next? Having her jump into the driving seat of a vehicle driven by someone suffering a heart attack and taking them to hospital whilst giving instructions over the hands free phone on what the medics need to do before she gets there? Lovely little actress and an adorable character but ruined by ridiculous dialogue more suited to a 14-16 year old.

a) It makes sense in the context of her whole life growing up over a long time, b) You obviously have a certain personal concept of children that age and what is and isn't plausible for them to say and do - one that not everyone else's real life experiences of all children this age will play into.
