i know cain needs a feud with someone who is equal with him, even if he wins eventually would be good and more realistic to see cain actually struggle to take someone down rather than just walk in and save the day easily all the time... even phil in eastenders has had some enemies who have given him a run for his money like dan sullivan and den/dennis

Emmerdale is laughable when it comes to Cain. They introduce characters who act like absolute homicidal nutters when they interact with everyone else yet then when Cain turns up they just turn into a bunch of submissive wusses. What a load of nonsense, that's why I stopped watching this crap years ago.

The writing on Emmerdale is usually shitty, but this was quite a good scene. I also have to give credit where credit is due, because Cain Dingle is a surprisingly good character upon a second look. He's rugged, unfeeling and unpleasant but he has a heart. Despite the many other problems that make this show worse than Coronation Street, I have to say, if Pat Phelan was more like Cain Dingle from the start, I might not mind him as much. I didn't think that's where I was going with this, but it's where I've ended up.

The old Cain dingle(2005-2011) would of dragged him out of the house by one arm leaving him with a fractured skull and a broken nose . Modern Day Cain Dingle is all mouth and no action , he didn't even give him once punch .

Tbh though this time Jason had a knife, so Cain is smart enough to know that rushing at someone with a sharp object isn't a good idea, but if he never had a knife, I would expect that to happen especially 2005-2011 Cain who was more of a nutter and a screw loose.

Depends what world you put them in. If Cain went into Eastenders then they'd obviously make Phil look better & if Phil went into Emmerdale it would be the opposite. Both are a bit of a joke anyway. Apparently we are supposed to believe that these two past-it bruisers who are full of it when it comes to threats to kill & have never murdered anybody in their lives would have every gangster & thug quaking in their boots. 🤣🤣 Do me a favour. I will say though that Phil in his prime would batter Cain Dingle all day. Cain doesn't even look hard. A middle-aged guy with an average to skinny body-build.
