Whoever chose to have all the male characters gather and talk deserves a raise. While EastEnders is packed with blatant misandry, it's refreshing to see Emmerdale actually showcasing men's mental health in a sensitive way.

It bothers me that Aaron of all people was not mentioned. He was the king of mental health on this show.

This was such a sensitively written episode of 'Emmerdale' that was well-acted by everyone concerned and certainly highlighted men's mental health in such a honest and true way and what a pity and shame that the writers of this particular episode of 'Emmerdale' couldn't write episodes for the show in this kind of way all the time as I would start watching the show once again then as well!

Fair dues to the writers of Emmerdale for doing this mens mental health is such an ignored topic in todays society I think its great that they are raising awareness

I love Cain's and Liam's friendship as much as Marlon's and Paddy's. They should show it more, tho. But damn, Liam's confession surprised me even tho I kinda guessed he's gonna say it.

Two others who should have been there ( in my opinion). Zak- Steve Halliwell was not only still alive but still in it, I think, then- and Eric. They’d have had plenty to unload. Zak’s past breakdown and time in a hospital, and Eric with the loss of his first child at birth.

It needs to be addressed! I’m a woman and I don’t care. I have brothers and uncles. I’d rather watch and address suicide and mental health with them than celebrate woman’s day. Their mental health is more important and this starts a discussion

It is called international women’s DAY as in one day. Not international women’s Week or month, it was Day. They didn't do this episode on international women’s day they did the episode 2 days later on a day that is just like any other day in the year

There’s nothing wrong with it airing the episode during the week of international women’s day. It’s about mental health awareness in men. Paddy’s suicide attempt was only last week so it makes sense that this episode airs a week later. Both men’s mental health and women’s rights are important. It’s not a competition
