It was down to James cheating on Emma with Moira that caused Ross to turn to the life of crime probably because Emma almost killed him so I think that must be the reason why so James is the bad person in the Barton’s family and he caused Ross to be the way that he was as well. I wish Ross had killed Robert and then made sure nobody got sent down for it.
