Super helpful. Never realized the COP was so far forward on the hands -- I'd always been focusing on the heel of the hand. Just did a few handstand jumps and tuck-ups and am greatly improved.

Most definitely helpful! I recently achieved my free standing handstand consistently for about a month only to lose it after being forced to take time off from a tfcc strain from having my shoulders too far over the hands. Now that I'm training again, I can't seem to balance to save my life especially since I've started opening my shoulders up more for better positioning. Also, first time I've heard of cambered hand technique, thank you!

thanks emmet. i just realized until recently when i stop spreading my fingers. My balance in one arm handstand and two arm is a lot easier !

Very illuminating video. I have been spreading my fingers like you say not to do so am looking forward to trying with my fingers closer or more parallel. Also found the way to find how much to bend your fingers very useful. Thank you for the information.

holy shit why do people say to spread your fingers in a handstand? You make a lot of sense. Can't wait to try out your tips

Because most of them teaching that are gymnast and calisthenic guys they need a wider grip for handstand to planche, 90 degree pushups, and handstand pushups

Great videos! Thx. You mention there are videos that help with wrist strengthening and flexibity, any recommendations?

Hey love the vids!! A quick question though. I have always been taught that the thumb plays the function similar to the big toe. Doesn't putting pressure on the thumb/heel area of the palm promote external rotation at the shoulder?

The thumb does very little of the balancing of the handstand. For instance I can lift my thumbs off the ground while in HS but none of my fingers.
