Everyone did a wonderful job. This was beautiful and every part made me feel bad for Emmett. ;) We also captured a lot of different sides of his story. I like the collab a lot. However... all that being said... ...I feel like somehow we didn't capture everything about Emmett as I wish we could've. I think it's because of the nature of this song. He has a lot of positive moments on the show, but this song is overly negative. Emmett has his sad moments, clearly, as this vid illustrates, but I think people ship Bemmett because he could be ADORABLE in scenes with Bay. He can be adorable and happy and sweet in scenes with anybody (Daphne, his parents, Toby, etc.) and we got a little of that in here, but not enough, in my opinion, because it rarely worked well with the song. He has a happy friendship with Travis (who, remember, has been his roommate and basically like a pseudo-adopted brother) which pretty much was NOT included in here at all, probably because those scenes are mainly too fun/happy/cute/positive. He is an artist (photographer) and a musician (drummer) and a motorcycle enthusiast. And these things aren't negative things. :P Our Bay character tribute and our Daphne character tribute were both set to kind of sad songs too, but they had a few more positive lyrics, I think. "It's Only Life" which we vidded for Bay is a song all about persevering. "Well get back on your feet, yeah", "pick up your chin, baby", "Take your hesitance / And your self-defense / Leave them behind" - even the opening & closing instrumental of that song felt more... "upbeat" to me, somehow. And "Get It Right" which we vidded for Daphne is pretty similar: "But if I get stronger and wiser, I’ll get through this" / "So I throw up my fist, throw a punch in the air", etc. It's about fighting back, and trying again UNTIL you 'get it right'. This song "Down" by Jason Walker here that we vidded for Emmett... in contrast... it just feels slightly too depressing to me. I kind of hope we do another character study for him - really for both of the girls too, for all 3 of these characters - someday. A long time away, but still. Someday. And maybe when we re-vid Emmett we can pick a song that'll work with a lot more smiles and happiness. :P I don't know.

wow...this is amazing! emmett is my second fav char (after daphne) and i thought this was a good tribute! I'm glad some of the scenes I decided not to use ended up in this collab!

I really loved how this came out. It was one of my favorites as well. I do know it was more of an angsty song, but I do think it fit Emmett well. I do think we covered most of his storyline arcs though:)

I don't know. It just felt really hard for me to decide how to end the collab, maybe. :P So maybe my comment was a reaction to that. Lol. I love the song and think in many ways it does fit Emmett... I love the song suggestion and it worked pretty well. :D I think these 3 most-popular choices to be vidded in our group are the 3 most popular characters in the fandom, and all of them deserve new video tributes eventually, once more episodes have aired. I feel like that just makes sense, regardless of how perfect all 3 of the tributes we've already made already are. :D
