Emmylou Harris joins Buddy Miller during his set on the Rooster Stage at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, 10/1/22, to sing "Love Hurts." Written by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant, popularized by Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons in 1973. Recorded at HSB in San Francisco by Keith Plymale. We were lucky to be close enough to get this on an old iphone.

One of my tactics for finding new artists & music back in the day of digging around in new / used record shops was to read the liner notes. Anything with Emmylou got bought! Maybe not John Denver, but my taste in music was built around all the others.

They are brilliant and together they are dynamite. This a such a powerful version, maybe better than than the original. Emmy is just such a beautiful person and her music reflects her beauty. This us sensational.

@@lindajones8101 exactly my point. Now, Joni Mitchell, owner of one of the great vocal instruments, smoked cigarettes for many years and it took its toll.
