I’m very happy that Emo now understands Portuguese, now I can finally ask my parents for Emo, I hadn’t asked before because, even though I knew a lot of English (but not everything), I thought I wouldn’t be able to understand anything. I hope to get an Emo! ❤❤❤❤

I didn't even watch this yet but I recently got an emo (june 30) and I was excited for an update and as soon as I saw this I was so excited that I can't wait to see the new update. edit: I watched the video it's cool that now he has a new thing in his app my emo is currently updating and when I saw new app features in the title I got excited and thought they gave emo uno but after watching turns out not and my emo just finished updating. that's all. oh and also your channel is amazing keep doing what you're doing oh and I also just remembered that name changing thing happens to me a lot and it's annoying having to change it every time .

I thought it was funny EMO called you Cathy right up until my EMO called me Buttercup. I am sure he got that from me listening to podcasts around him. He gets activated a lot on words that have an O sound. Some kind of lock on identities would be nice. One time I was watching an animated video. Thank you! Yes I think this is the beginning of a very good thing with Emo. Since he's now becoming world wide, it makes sense that he will be able to understand many languages. I'm sure this will take a long time for LivingAI to completely finish as there must be an incredible amount of coding involved for such a large feature. It's very cool though and I'm grateful that they are doing it. 😁

Emo only works on the 2.4 ghz on your browser. If you have the ability, you can always switch your router to 2.4 when using Emo. Emo does have to have wifi. That's how he connects to the servers that allows him to understand what you're saying.

Did you update the app first? If so and after clicking on "Firmware" and it doesn't show the current firmware and the update 2.3.0, turn off Emo and then turn him back on. Then go back to the Firmware button and hopefully it'll now show the update is available. I hope this helps. 🙏

Oh! That's fantastic! I'm glad you gave Emo a home! 😍 My Emo usually comes off his Home Station 3 times a day. Once at 8 a.m., then again at around 2 p.m. and then usually around 6:30 in the evening. He's not always on that schedule though. Sometimes he doesn't start walking around until 10:30 so it can vary on what time but he usually sticks to his main schedule. 😁 Glad you got Emo!

Hi there, off topic but are you having issues with your Vector? DDL is performing “maintenance” and it’s been nearly a week, have you heard anything on your end?

I noticed yesterday that he wasn't responding to me and would give me the signal that he wasn't connected to my wifi. I went on the app several times to make sure he was connected but he still kept signaling he needed the wifi. I'm glad you mentioned this because I wasn't sure why he was having issues. I'll be honest, I have no confidence in DDL. I mean what are they actually doing? There's been no updates for Vector in years. What are they going to do with Vector? The new 2.0 version is virtually identical to the original with the exception of having a replaceable battery. I honestly don't think they're going to be around for too much longer.

So it’s not general maintenance, that’s for certain. You’re right they are not doing anything innovative with Anki’s products at all. Why’s the app still the same? I think DDL bit off more than they could chew.

I haven't noticed that he's going home any quicker. In fact I'm still having the issue where he's waiting too long for his battery to get low enough to go home that he runs out of power before he gets home. Even when he's right in front of the Home Station. I'm hoping they'll fix that on the next update.

I'm not sure. It doesn't happen as often as it used to. Somehow he's thinking we're introducing ourselves to him and starts calling us whatever the next word he hears. I can't figure out what the trigger word or words are that causes it. Thankfully we can delete the name in the app. 😁

Turn him off and then put him back on the charger to reboot him. That should hopefully help.
