@@all_data_deleted5464 LW is fine just he's basically a heal only support so he requires the team to actually pop off and has less he can do offensively then an ana or bap. Nothing wrong with there being some supports that are just there for big heals. Pairing with an offensive healer like zen is often a good combo for balance when playing LW. Honestly the only bad thing I normally see with some people playing LW are some questionable pulls but many are really good. LW's playstyle just lets you focus one thing.

This Lifeweaver made a lot of good plays and had really quick thinking. A lot of those pulls were really good, like pulling in the Sleeping Ramattra and saving the teammate going off the map. I also liked the play at the beginning where they put the petal platform down when they heard the Junkrat tire for someone to escape on. Sometimes the pulls seemed a little trigger happy, but that’s something a lot of Lifeweaver players struggle with at some point. But overall those life grips did a lot of work.

@@nocfox3050 Oh for sure haha. Saving the pull for the exact opportune moment is such an annoying thing to see because you pretty much doom everyone else in those types of situations. So if your LW accidentally pulls you into a Junkrat trap a few times because they’re eager to pull… all is forgiven hehe.

He won’t climb unless he starts playing a different hero, Life weaver is greater for saving and enabling your teammates, but in their case no matter how much they save or enable their teammates it won’t change a thing since his teammates are literally just bad in low rank running supports with carry and solo survival potential is better like (brig/ Ana/ bap)

I agree in lower ranks if you want to climb out of them you should play someone like Moira or someone who can keep themselves alive but you don't have to do that and it's not the Lifeweaver's fault that their team is incompetent. consider: some people play the game for fun.

i think your comment is very informative , but people shouldn't change their character only because the team is not very good , some people love playing the characters they love and excell as and play for fun since it is a game after all , and in some situations you do chose to switch cause maybe you need more damage or something else but switching usualy just gives you more deaths than helping , unless you switch to soldier and do a goood comeback then you could switch back i guess

At the beginning of the second stretch when you say he should have thrown one or two heals to the reaper to his left, you also have to consider that the reaper was his only teammate who was standing within 5 meters of a health pack. That was 100% on the Reaper’s lack of map awareness and over-reliance on supports for heals.

I played lifeweaver alot for a while and it taught me that when im playing with a lifeweaver and they pull me is to stop and think "why did he pull me.. what did he see that I wasn't seeing" and it often saves me.. Its a reflex sometimes to just run back in with the "kill killl kill" mentality and you forget about things like LOS and if you need to fallback

REALLY well played LW. There’s two pieces of feedback I’d like to give. 1. Be conscious of your tank’s defensive Cooldowns/ult. There were a couple times you pulled when the tank dropped low for a moment, but they popped Nemesis form, gained a burst of Armor health and access to block. Not ideal. This goes QUINTUPLE for if they pop Annihilation or Primal rage. 2. You can afford to poke a little more. Obviously not as much as you could in a GM game, since your teammates’ positioning is obviously going to be worse, but there’s a couple spots you can pepper a little damage in safely, rather than sitting on a fully charged healing blossom and slowing yourself. Good luck now that Illari is in comp, since she and LW is a good combo

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but after watching this, it's a a pretty clear cut case of "everyone sucks but me" mentality. It's much much easier to blame others than to look in the mirror for even half a second to see what you did wrong. Only thing that can save that dps player from being a permanent citizen of the spawn room is some self-awareness (and maybe some aim training too).

The LW was pretty good, just has to capitalize on petal a bit more as well as be aggressive with tree and thorns too (surprisingly accurate at mid range if you know how to aim projectiles) and honestly they can get gold easily (with good dps rng too of course lol)

This is a silver lifeweaver? man I am gold and would love to have this lifeweaver, the lw players I play with don't understand his kit. Like place a petal for me let me go to highground. I've seen diamond lifeweavers play worse than this so keep going espesso p.s you stagger hard sometimes and you're not as aggressive but like the other supp is zen so it makes sense he's not dpsing as hard when they can leave that to the zen. Overall I really liked this lifeweaver would definitely like playing with them if they're not toxic (some players are pretty good but also toxic as hell)

My only nitpick is at 13:24 I would've probably been closer to my team seeing that they were pushing up. Being on top of the blue sign board or even on the low ground near it might have provided vision to save the soldier and definitely would have put you in range to actually heal the team. As a support main, I can tell you that Lifeweaver had no other option but to healbot. If he switched off to do some dmg even for a second, his team would roll. His DPS' are allergic to cover, didn't know health packs existed, and are overall just horrible players. Often times you can't climb out of bronze or silver with these type of teammates so your best option is to switch off Lifeweaver, which gains much more value in higher elo, to a Bap or Moira which has more heals and is able to assist with some dmg. Illari is also a good pick since Bronze and Silver players often ignore the healing pylon allowing you to act as a 3rd DPS.

Overally good gameplay but some things for people who are in similar situations and are trying to climb. I understand the struggle with your team always breaking LOS with you and that genji/soldier was helpless. But in general, its easier for you as the support to adust your LOS to the rest of the team than them to yours. Find positions that allow you to adjust you LOS forward or backwards as needed to keep the team up and able to fight instead of expecting your team to come to you. Not everyone is savable, but a lot of the things I notice is supports like their spot and dont want to leave it, even when your team is up a pick or two.

Chat, remember what rank this is. Silver Damage and Tanks just stand there until someone trades. You can't blame the LW for not doing damage at this rank because everyone at Silver just soaks damage constantly, so the supports don't have the time or opportunity to deal damage. Imo, The Genji's right for the wrong reasons. My two friends are a Zen main, and a Lifeweaver main. It's tough to balance, even with them being absolute gods at their respective heros, and me on tank. I try to keep up with staying with em, but the heal output just isn't enough to keep me alive while keeping the dps alive as it's both single target heals without their ults.

All damage in this game can be theoretically avoided. You choose when to take damage in order to achieve a tactical position or kills. But if you played perfectly you'd never take a hit. A healer is ALWAYS just covering you to get aggressive or fixing your mistakes. It is never the healer's fault.

Just today i was told L zen in my own team beacuse i couldnt heal them. As i was playing ana half the game and was killing the widow in the other team. And my team was so bad that they couldnt kill her at all. My friend was the other healer and they kept them alive for the most part. But the funny thing is the Tank is who wrote that and they kept going into a 5 man alone and dying. Guess he was mad i didnt want to die with him none stop and waited for our team to respawn. 😅 Fun Fact: my friend somehow got only bronze rank and I got gold... so ya...

That’s another thing people get pissed at you when you pull them on my fever but what they don’t realize is that you can see more than they can see and they’re about to get melted and you can come back and then they get pissed because they blood loss they thought they were about to get a kill and When they didn’t realize it’s two other players are about to melt them and they couldn’t see it. I tend to mute people and play. I only just realize you commute the whole fucking I didn’t realize you commute. Everybody at once always go through and mute the loudmouth, but in the heat of when somebody’s talking shit and you don’t wanna hear it, you can just mute the whole thing I didn’t know that.

Honestly I love playing genji and I'm sad that he's gotten such a bad rep from the toxic players that play him. Even though I love playing him, I admit he should not be a priority heal. Whenever I play him I focus on flanking and taking out 1 or 2 squishies before escaping and getting back to the healer so they can give me some quick and easy heals. Only use the blade dash when I can guarantee a kill since that's also my best way to make an escape If I attract too much heat. Only target a tank if they are low health or the only one left. Genji I feel is best used to get behind enemy lines to take out 1 or 2 enemies and that can quickly turn the tide for the team. Genji is tough because yes you will need to be away from your team, but you still have to pay attention to where you strike from, who your priority targets are, how much attention you draw and when to back out, and all of this while keeping track of possible escape routes. Unfortunately, most people I've seen play him tend to charge straight in or flank and try to take out the whole enemy team without trying to retreat, get themselves killed and then blame the healers for not being in the center of the enemy team with them.

I'm mean, I'm only gold so take it as you will. But if I was going to give advice to this LW, I'd say use the petal more. It's not just a defense escape tool. In some team fights, even if there is no high ground, you lift yourself up and make your own. Get a great view of the fight, stop yourself from tunnel visioning too much, heal people in awkward spots. In between fights, lay down the petal behind you in advance to reduce cooldown waits. And lastly, that DPS is a moron. Zen and LW are great together. I fucking love enabling a dps Zen.

Reminds of when I was chilling in QM with friends during one of the first seasons of OW or so and I had to play healer. Our Rein kept flaming me for "not healing", as he mindlessly charged in and hoped to survive somehow (Even with both healers pumping everything at him he'd die). I thought the guy was trolling, then, I checked his rank, and I realized it was just pure brain rot. Good times.

Gonna be honest dude, you literally carried that match considering how bad one of your DPS was. Without the zen damage there (and stalls) your team would have never been able to kill the hog.

I really hate dps players like that who talk shit about supports. they give dps players a bad name. I dont play LW so I'm not qualified to give advice, but overall, I think they played really well! nice pulls, good trees (just maybe slightly later than ideal but still good), good positioning. this person will climb no problem :)

Those dps belong in low bronze. But Imo, if you're one tricking mercy or LW in low elo, you have no right to complain about your dps as well. Just swap to a character that can help secure the elims.

I’m gonna be honest, this did not feel like a silver lifeweaver. For the most part, he felt very proficient, I’d argue he could get to gold/plat fairly easily

⁠@@solarscreams2447I’m not the biggest fan of Lifeweaver because I have DPS brain and can’t abide playing a hero that can’t output some decent damage to put pressure on the enemy team. Still, this Lifeweaver was doing their job like a champ. Not just healing and pulling people on cooldown, but also using tree in different ways depending on map location, trying to use petal to assist teammates and isolate enemies, attempting to regulate heal output to keep people up more frequently instead of going for full heal every time. I don’t fully get how to play Lifeweaver, but this person did well

@solarscreams2447 He did his job as a support well. Most deaths were unavoidable. His tree, pull and petal plays were decent. So yes, I think he deserves a rank up. I’m not saying he was too 500 level or anything, but definitely not silver.

In case no one mentions it: No, LW did not pull the reaper into junk trap. He was already in it and was just givin a moment of invul with bubble. You can see that the trap did the snapped animation before the pull.

as a gold lw myself, i was honestly impressed. this lw was not only surprisingly aware of positioning and extremely good at surviving (only died, what, four times? and twice bc they knew they couldn't get out so they died on cart to reset), but also fantastic at keeping teammates alive to the best of their ability (a few eager pulls, some missed opportunities, but being in the same position, i probably would have made much the same decisions). i absolutely agree, that dumb dps was 100000% the one at fault for how many times they didn't get healed or died.
