Legit this should be shown in schools. Not only is it funny, so it appeals to kids and teenagers, it teaches such a good lesson that is especially important for those of that age

SwiftyJoe TheOneAndOnly The thing is, I’m convinced that Dean would be ready to be there for Jack like Jack was for him, he just kept it such a secret from Dean that he didn’t give him the chance.

“What’s in this bag?” “Childhood” “What’s in this bag?” “Trauma” “What’s in this bag?” “Childhood Trauma” “What’s in this bag?” “Traumatised Children” “AAAHHHHH” “I have no idea what that’s about, but the fact that it exist makes me very sad”

A neat detail. Dean's baggage was all different and very defined. One look at a bag, and he knew exactly what it was. Despite there being a lot of emotional baggage, knowing what emotional baggage is what implies some amount of work that has already been put into. Dean might not have been unpacking his baggage, but he took time to learn about it and sort it. Jack's emotional baggage is identical to each other, and there is more of it. This implies not simply neglect of own sanity, but also ignorance, purposeful or not, of this neglect. In other words, in this sketch, Dean is well aware he has problems, he has faced them before, and is willing to face them again. Jack ignores his problems, wishing they'd go away by themselves, letting them pile ever higher

For anyone wondering what was written on the board at 3:37 here it is: ‘Dad, I forgive you. For the years of second guessing my appearance, sexual preference and “girly run”. You were just projecting and I can understand that. I’ve done similar things myself, nobody’s perfect but I’m pretty close. Sorry, I make jokes when I’m nervous. I think I get that from you. We’re more alike than you think, so I hope you can be as open with me as I am being with you. Let’s be so open that we could swap ribs or something. I’d be proud to have your ribs. Sorry, I’m making jokes again. I wanna form a stronger, more healthy relationship. I love you, Dad. I hope you can say the same to me. I don’t want to leave this until it’s too late. Not that you’re going to die soon or anything…or are you?! Or am I?! ARE WE GOING TO DIE?! Will it be at the same time?!?! :( This is why we need to talk about stuff. I’m rambling now. Do you want to say anything? Hello?…I think he just hung up.’

jack was so gentle and kind while helping dean with his demons, but so rough with his own. he just wants to shut them down instead of dealing with them with that same gentleness, hence the anger present as he told them to shut up.

I remember the first time I watched Jack and Dean. It was the fac-e-book video. Now I lay in bed and this pops up on my KZbin recommended. I'm in tears, literal tears. The ending hit me a lot harder than I expect to as I read the comments. In my own personal experience, a lot of the details in this video hit home. Jack and Dean, if you ever see this comment, thank you for producing and writing this video for millions to see on what it's like dealing with your own demons and well, emotional baggage...

I really love how this video takes a comedic yet respectful approach towards such a serious and stigmatized topic. The quiet nights you have when you feel like you're dealing with everything alone make this video even more powerful on how it's never ending. But if you face it head on, it won't pile up on you. Also sometimes oush aside their own baggage to help others, and even though that may be helpful for the other person, the one who is helping is ultimately doing it as a way to vicariously live through helping deal with someone else's problems rather than their own. Tl;dr I just really like this video and I teared up a little bit (In between laughing) Also I saw that Dean has his pronouns in his twitter bio and I just started bawling because that's really lovely and should be a normalized thing.

I was feeling sad and angry today, I felt like I was going to explode at any moment. I was on the verge of crying and this video eventually made it happen. So thank you. For making me release all the tension, making me laugh and making me realise I don't have to do this alone. Gonna call a friend and talk it out ❤️
