Hi, i am an Architect and i stumbled upon your video while doing my research on interior spaces. And this was so helpful in understanding so many aspects on how to make something last, and not merely become a trend and this careful understanding can very much be applied onto an interior scale too. Thanks so much! Absolutely loved how you decoded the idea of emotion into something so tangible for the views to take away♥
@DesignplusMorna2 жыл бұрын
Hi Apurva, thanks for your comment. Yes, this can absolutely be applied to interior architecture. There is other interesting research into metaphor and how we experience the built environment but it belongs more in the domain of embodied cognition. For example, there are studies that show people have bigger more expansive thoughts (ie. they are more creative), when there is more space above their heads. So Higher ceilings = higher amount of creativity. Another one that is related more in the social sphere is if you give a person a warm drink, they will tend to have warm thoughts towards you. I was studying metaphor and design for my masters and find the topic so fascinating.

Could viewers perhaps send there designs to you and then you criticise them in a KZbin video. Where you comment on how well balanced the design is. What does the design lack and what should be improved. I think that would be a really cool way of teaching. You are great btw. I can’t wait to wake up so I could try what you teach to me. For example repeating your form gives your design harmoni

Hi Marcos, you are welcome. It's neat to hear you've decided to switch to ID after studying visual arts because this is similar to my own story. Sure, let me see how I can address sustainability in a video. It's a huge topic.

Hello Morna! Thank you for the video, I enjoy it. I think the emotional aspect is so important when a customer have to choose a product. I just think at a car, we will be more satisfied when we buy that one that emotionally we like more and then after that we think at the technical aspects.
