Great video Vanessa! The theories around the dam could be to deter people from playing around there leading to possible drowning and also to preserve it from people messing the place up. I remember when we were growing up the adults told us not to sit on the road or else we would develop boils… (mamota in our language and the word can also be used to mean car).. When I grew up I got to realize that it was passed down for us kids not to play on the road in case a car ran us over😂 Also thanks to your mom for the omena recipe. We eat a lot of those in Zimbabwe but hadn’t known about that recipe to deep fry and add ginger. Will definitely try that.
