My baby is due on May 10th, I plan on having a homebirth with her like I did with my first. There’s truly nothing like the intimacy of being in your own home with people you love and trust while you birth new life. Glory to God!!

You only can’t eat when you give birth in the hospital just in case they have to do an emergency c-section because that’s a major surgery and they have to remove your intestines for that. But obviously when having a home birth you’re not going to be getting a c-section so you can eat.

They can help for sure. You’re more relaxed usually and they help with pain so it helps prevent straining that can cause tearing.

They help prevent 3rd and 4th degree tearing but make no difference for 1st and 2nd (which usually heal just fine anyway, most people tear at least 1st degree)
