Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaathuhu!
Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) once sent Sayyidah Fatimah (radiyallahu ‘anha) to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) to ask for some food as they were starving. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) told her that a fire was not lit [to cook food] in his own house for the past thirty days. He then offered to give her some goats or to teach her five words which Jibril (‘alayhis salam) had taught Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). These words were:
Ya Awwalal Awwaleen - O the First of the First!
Ya Akhiral Akhireen - O the Last of the Last!
Ya Dhal Quwwatal Mateen - O the Possessor of Absolute Power!
Ya Rahimal Masakeen - O He who Shows Mercy to the Impoverished!
Ya Arhamar-Rahimeen - O the Most Merciful of the Merciful!

@@kampcihad511 Sahih al-Bukhari 3623, 3624. Once Fatima came walking and her gait resembled the gait of the Prophet (ﷺ) . The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Welcome, O my daughter!" Then he made her sit on his right or on his left side, and then he told her a secret and she started weeping. I asked her, "Why are you weeping?" He again told her a secret and she started laughing. I said, "I never saw happiness so near to sadness as I saw today." I asked her what the Prophet (ﷺ) had told her. She said, "I would never disclose the secret of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." When the Prophet (ﷺ) died, I asked her about it. She replied. "The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Every year Gabriel used to revise the Qur'an with me once only, but this year he has done so twice. I think this portends my death, and you will be the first of my family to follow me.' So I started weeping. Then he said. 'Don't you like to be the chief of all the ladies of Paradise or the chief of the believing women? So I laughed for that."

Upon this, the Prophet said to her, ‘O Fatima, are you not pleased that you will be the leader of the women in paradise’. (Bukhari, Muslim).

@Tito Tao but what If it is not from the prophet which is very likely with weak hadiths, do you suggest we go with the words of some one other than the prophet?

@Tito Tao that is very wrong and you know that we aren't supposed to follow anything but the quran and sunnah, and weak hadiths are very much not from the saying of the prophet (phub) thus not sunnah

@Tito Tao it is generally better not to use weak hadith to build our iman and rules, I agree tho in some cases we can use some weak hadiths, but they are defentily not a ground to stand on.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Hereunder is the Hadith in reference: عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَصَابَتْ عَلِيًّا، خَصَاصَةٌ، فَقَالَ لِفَاطِمَةَ: لَوْ أَتَيْتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْتِيهِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتِ أَمَرْتُ لَكِ بِخَمْسَةِ أَعْنُزٍ، وَإِنْ شِئْتِ عَلَّمْتُكِ خَمْسَ كَلِمَاتٍ عَلَّمَنِيهِنَّ جِبْرِيلُ» ، قَالَتْ: بَلْ عَلِّمْنِيهِنَّ، قَالَ: قُولِي يَا أَوَّلَ الأَوَّلِينَ، وَيَا آخِرَ الآخِرِينَ، وَيَا ذَا الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينِ، وَيَا رَاحِمَ الْمَسَاكِينَ، وَيَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ فَانْصَرَفْتُ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ: مَا وَرَاءَكِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا وَأَتَيْتُكَ بِالآخِرَة Translation: Suwaid Bin A’laqamah Rahimahullah narrated: “Hunger affected Ali Radhyallahu Anhu, so he said to Fatimah Radhyallahu Anha “if you can go to Rasulullah Sallallahu Alihi Wasallam and ask him for something”, so Nabi Sallallahu Alihi Wasallam said “if you want I can give you five female goats, and if you want I can teach you five sentences, which Jibrail (Alihis Salam) has taught me? She replied, “teach me what he taught you”, he said “say o’ the first of the first, o’ the last of the last, o’ possessor of mighty strength, o’ the one who shows mercy on the poor, o’ the most merciful” then Fatima Radhyallahu Anha left. Ali Radhyallahu Anhu asked her “what is behind you?” she replied, “I went to ask for Dunya, I have returned with Akhirah”. Mu’jamush shuyukh Al kabeer of Imam Dhahabi 2/258 You enquire regarding the authenticity of this Hadith. Imam Dhahabi (Rahimahullah) mentions after narrating this hadith: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مَعَ غَرَابَتِهِ مُرْسَلٌ، وَقِيلَ: بَلْ لِسُوَيْدٍ صُحْبَةٌ، وَهُوَ أَنْصَارِيٌّ تَفَرَّدَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَجَلِيُّ، وَلَيْسَ هُوَ بِمُعْتَمَدٍ، ضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ Translation: “This Hadith, in spite of it being Ghareeb, it is Mursal. It is also said: (the narrator) Suwayd was a Sahabi and an Ansari (which takes it out of being Mursal). Isma’il bin Umar Al-Bajali is alone in narrating this Hadith, and he is not reliable, Imam ibnu A’di has considered him a weak (narrator)”. (Mu’jamush shuyukh Al kabeer of Imam Dhahabi 2/258) There are two aspects in this Hadith. The incident itself and the words (praises of Allah). In view of the doubt in the chain of narrators, the incident is doubtful. However, one may praise Allah Ta’ala with such words. The first two sentences (First of the First, Last of the Last) are supported from the following Hadith: عن سهيل، قال: كان أبو صالح يأمرنا، إذا أراد أحدنا أن ينام، أن يضطجع على شقه الأيمن، ثم يقول: «اللهم رب السماوات ورب الأرض ورب العرش العظيم، ربنا ورب كل شيء، فالق الحب والنوى، ومنزل التوراة والإنجيل والفرقان، أعوذ بك من شر كل شيء أنت آخذ بناصيته، اللهم أنت الأول فليس قبلك شيء، وأنت الآخر فليس بعدك شيءالخ Translation: Suhail Rahimahullah reported that Abu Salih used to command us (in these words): “When any one of you intends to go to sleep, he should lie on the bed on his right side and then say:” O Allah. the Lord of the Heavens and the Lord of the Earth and Lord of the Magnificent Throne, our Lord, and the Lord of everything, the Splitter of the grain of corn and the datestone (or fruit kernal), the Revealer of Torah and Injil (Bible) and Criterion (the Holy Qur’an), I seek refuge in you from the evil of everything, you are the one to seize by the forelock (you have perfect control over it). O Allah, you are the First, there was nothing before you, and you are the Last and there is nothing after you (Hadith continues). (Sahih Muslim 4/2084) Furthermore, the two sentences are an expression of the following verse of the Quran: “هو الاول و الاخر” Translation: “He is he First and He is the Last”. (Surah Al-Hadid, 3) And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
