This song inspires me to be better as a mom. I see his pain and think of all the kids out there going through something like that. I just take all the love I want those kids to have and pour it into my own kids, as well as the ones I interact with at work, church, mission trips, etc... (I work in a school and in neighborhood children’s programs through my church, as well as out of state missions working with same kids in NYC every year). I have abandonment issues myself, from my father... different scenario ... Also I am on the other side of severe depression. Nate inspires me to keep going and not let the emotions freeze me up. I’m thankful that he overcame the obstacles and was able to put out all this amazing music.

It's not rude to react to it, especially when it's NF. He makes this music for himself, to get his thoughts out and express himself, but he also releases it specifically so that people have a reaction and can *feel* the music. It's not always happy, but it's always important.
@dawnsays19075 жыл бұрын
Yes this is the toughest one because it hit so deep. I didn't lose my mother in the same way as NF but it was shocking unexpected death all the same. It is hard to lose a parent and yes you should go call your mother & father and talk with them and tell them you love them. One day they won't be here and it will change you . You will no longer be the same person. You will feel like you didn't have enough time with them. Soak it all in while they are here and you still can. Great message at the end guys.

New subscriber much respect. My first born and only son passed away a year ago on April 14th. He would have been 48 that September. He left 5 children the youngest was 5 and was living here with us and his dad as he was trying to get away from the drugs and his wife. She was an addict for a long time before she met Shane. She came here and manipulated him as he was weak, and he wanted to believe her. She got him to do heroin with her and he overdosed as it had Fentanyl in it. She was CPR certified and didn't do anything. She took his son and left and we don't get to see him anymore. She is still doing drugs so this really hits home for me.

Hey bros, great reaction for this song. Keeping it 100% real. You guys are entertaining and yet relatable as well. Every time I watch this song whether it be the music video or a reaction it gets me. NATE loves his mom. Regardless, of her problem and dying as a result. Very sad. I was an addict for many years and Jesus Christ delivered me from narcotics addiction. It was a rough road. When I went to tell my parents I was sorry and did something about and got over it....my father didn’t forgive me because he told me how much it hurt my mom...while she cried every night worrying if I would overdose. Then when I saw this video it made me realize that we might be hurting those that love us more than it hurts us. My favorite reflective song. By the way, your note at the end of the video was very caring toward what NATE went through. God bless your channel. I hope you can monetize it as well. God speed.

I feel ya...feels like you're spying on something personal watching this. One of a few songs that made me think like this...at least he knew his mom was hurt and hurting others because of addiction. I watched my mom die from cigarettes and never even thought to tell her to stop. Now I have a son she'll never know and a wife I've known longer than I knew her. I'm only 41 and it's been 22 years but I still remember her wanting to hit a cigarette the night she died and at that point it didn't matter(so we let her). Still...she still wanted one last hit even though it was taking her from all of us...like fuck why? If you are out there smoking but still active with your kids think about that for a second. Your kids want you around as much as you want them to live.
