one of my favourite things abut the dwc choreography is that at what should be the climax of the dance - the drop into the last chorus after the build through the bridge and the launch to their feet - they just...dont do anything. Instead of launching into some explosive, dramatic segment, they just stand there. They barely even move at all after than initial push upwards to standing, like that one action took all their strength and now everything in them is being poured into the grief expressed into the lyrics (trying not to cry, missing someone). Its the total opposite of what you expect and what you want from the choreography, which has been building in intensity and dynamics since the start of the song. and at first, cutting off the climax at the knees like that seems to diminish the impact of the song, but after a while you realise that it couldnt have been any other way and have had the same emotional weight. because the song isnt about an explosion of emotion like desire or anger or love, or about chasing and eventually attaining something or someone. its about a loss and an absence and trying so hard NOT to do something and failing anyway. it makes perfect sense that there would be a hole in the choreography where the climax should be. it couldn’t have been any other way, and yet just about any other choreographer would have been too scared to leave that space when by all accounts explosive final choruses are what sell records. im a minghao bias and a wonwoo bias wrecker, but ive said it before and i will continue to say it - kwon soonyoung is an utter, once-in-a-lifetime GENIUS, and that fact is not appreciated anywhere near enough.

I've commented this before also somewhere but I really want to appreciate how the international members are given a place in Seventeen. When in most groups you see them at the back with no lines or just few words, Seventeen has put them to the front and you can clearly see a fair distribution of screen time also. considering they have 13 members also it's a big feat. The only other group who gives the international members they place they deserve (fro what I've seen is) Got7.

This is the ere where I've become a fan of them. I'm still in the process of knowing all of them and Im indeed proud of them! they're all great and talented.
