Rawhide was great at the beach. He’s seen plenty of sand. Blake got him play in that crazy moving water. Louie wasn’t too happy with the loose sand but did great in the water.

I believe you when you say the people who will take care of Rawhide are wonderful and the place is terrific but I still feel sorry for Rawhide because he is in a completely different place and different people. I'm sure he is going to feel abandoned and alone. 😢

It’s amazing at how well they adapt. He has been here 13 days now and has settled in quite well. He has bonded with my horse Louie and he gets lots of love and carrots 🥕. He’s very calm and seems content!

Rawhide's trust in Blake shows with him being able to get him into the waves. Blake was also very good with Louie, getting him to settle down regarding the water. Scary thing for the horses. ❤ 🐎 🇺🇸

It is a dream of ours to ride on the beach, but not a dream of the horses, they feel like they just landed on mars , a whole new world, we took our horses to the beach last summer and that’s how they acted, they just wanted out of there and didn’t want nothing to do with those big crashing waves 🌊 😂, but we worked on it and they started to settle a little and we got some trotting in, the sand was very deep even by the water so we didn’t lope them, but the trotting was so so smooth like we were flying above the ground, it was so fun and an amazing experience. So glad for Blake and rawhide to experience the beach together, it was a blast to watch and brought back memories of our ride ❤

Welcome to the California coast. Fog is the usual weather at this time of year. Some call it June Gloom but those that have lived here for a long time generally love it. What a beautiful video you made of Blake and Rawhides parting, but at least Blake knows its only for a short time, not forever, making the parting a bit easier. The family you left him with seems so awesome, he is in good hands with them most definitely. California, beautiful countryside, but I prefer your home state of Arizona. Blakes journey with the Lord is going to be an amazing one, will be so inspirational to hear all about it during (if possible) as well when he comes back home. Way to go Blake and Kasey. Blake you are a horseman. That foggy look is definitely LA and that water is always cold. What a fun time. Riding on the beach kind of makes you dizzy watching the waves roll in. It is loud which was hard for the horses, poor Rawhide came from the high desert and mountains. This video brought back "waves" (pun intended) of memories for me of my own time in Los Angeles. Our first son was born there---and he's 36 years old now. We left L.A. when he was a baby. The footage of the kids at the beach with the beautiful horses made me remember several very nice outings and trips in California. We only lived there a year, but a lot happened during that time. ****🌺 This video brought back so many memories for me, like a blast from a good past!!! We used to ride our horses for a few miles on the back country roads in Hawaii, & we'd end up on the beach too. We swam in the water on our horses bare back though. Of course, it was a lot warmer there too. Well Blake, that was a very touching & sensitive, I'll see you later, kind of video between Rawhide & yourself. It brought tears to my eyes once again, just thinking about how we wont be seeing you on Rawhide either, for the next 2 yrs!!! I wish for you the best that life has to offer my young friend.
