May be too late to comment on this, but around 6:45, Tom is actually not trying to troll Sabin. He sees that he has enough Meter to Break, that's why he hits him with an Ice Ball even though he's still frozen - you can't use Breaker on projectiles. He just didn't want him to Break because Reptile can gain insane momentum off of a Breaker and both of their Life Bars were really low.

Westin Mcclister That is not a wise move - Brady himself has stated that once you are DOWN ONE ROUND you should NOT burn your entire meter because it almost guarantees losing the next one. "Meter is your LIFE in this game." One could argue that, if he X-Rayed Sabin he at least would have stayed in the game. However, Brady knew the risk he was taking. If he could have gone into Round 3 with Full Meter, that is an INSANE advantage! It didn't pay off, but I wouldn't say it was the wrong risk to take. A Bad Move =/= A Wrong Move.

It doesn't matter whether you believe Sub-Zero's a Meter-Reliant character or not. It's common sense that having 0 Meter will always put you behind a player that has full Meter. This is standard across ALL characters!

My guess is that they wanted to bring some variety into Sub's gameplay. In mk9 your whole strategy as a Sub player revolved around clone spamming, and in mkx the clone variation was the only one used in pro matches

"Spamming" is just using your best tools and in MK9 it took alot of skill- MK11 they character assasinated him and make him from a trap character to a mixup character, which is stupid and now MK1 ice klone is weak af while 15 other characters get all kinds of BS.

First rule of fighting games tounament: if you see your opponent not being able to counter your move, spam it. It's proven effective against that opponent and highly rewarding so even if you're not looking all that flashy, repeat that move. There's money on the line and you entered to win. I learned that when I played DBZ BT3, repeated one move 3 times in a row and got away with it, stopped cuz i saw it was cheap and opponent couldn't react to it, and lost that match afterwards. I could have won that way but didn't. After all, all moves are there for a reason. When there's money on the line, every strategy is viable. If you're spamming moves when playing with friends for fun, then you're just a dick.

There's a lot hate of some players around this game and Sub Zero (and other characters) who may not be that top tier rush down character, but requires good skill and a lot of patience. Sub... is more a counter-picker, or you can call him a close range zoner. His damage is based over the ice and clones, if you believe that's spam, you may not have the skill, because Sub it's cool, but it's too constrained.

I'm not a sub player but I play enough of them to pretty much know what's he's capable of. After a clone, couldn't he have just used the EX ice on the floor to force a jump? He couldve pressured him near a wall, set up a clone, then use the EX puddle for something right?

EVERY sub-zero user I face online does the same exact damn thing. they Ice clone, spam the ice ball, and once you get frozen they do that same easy-ass combo that ends with the slide. And they won't ever attack you first either. You have to be frozen for a sub-zero user to actually finally punch you.

Well my best combo that is pretty easy to pull of (for me anyways) with Scorpion is 13 hits 45% damage without using an X-Ray and when I do use X-Ray it is 51% damage. I can do a safe 35% combo with Scorpion btw.

if you play it you'll get used to the games pace with the slow dashing blocking and what not, it is really fun once you master a fighter and know his combos even a single player ladder is fun. and about the breaker it actually come at the cost of not being able to break any combos for the next few mins and not being able to do an X-ray.

It's actually just the same as it ever was, Sektor is really good if you use him correctly... I went against someone who used him and just kept on using uppercuts flames combos and well everything. lol I was using Kenshi at the time trying to practice with him but that was a long time ago in October. I have gotten way better with Kenshi and he is actually really good but I still like using Scorpion. I just love winning and then seeing people rage quit on King of the Hill. xD

@TheTiagoSerrano You know, In my mind, tier doesn't mean anything. If you actually learn the character your playing, you can beat anyone. (With the exception of some characters match-up.) And Scorpion is a goodcharacter, not because he has amazing tool for everything, but because he has a tool for everything. He's so versatile. And if you really thing that a Scorpion can't beat a good Kitana, your wrong by a lot. 16 Bit, the best kitana in the world, trains with a pro Scorpion.

No good player uses the ice puddle, its way too slow and at this level you cant really afford to risk it. You have to drop the last hit of the combo so you can put a freeze in there. You cant do y-y-y then freeze. Also if he misses his attack the recovery is better after the 2nd y then it is the third.
