As an extremely empathetic person people often believe I’m a nieve pushover. It’s half true I suppose, I’m a pushover because to me it’s more important that the people around me live a good life and if I can make that any easier to achieve in any way at all I really do try my best to help them. I’m often giving people answers to homework and helping them with projects or simply listening to their problems. I don’t do it because I seek validation. I don’t do it because I’m intimidated. I do it because I know I’d want people to do it for me if I’d ever asked. I am certainly not nieve either. I’m well aware of when people are trying to use me. It’s just that sometimes it doesn’t matter enough to me for me to do anything about it. Sometimes I don’t deem it worthy enough of my emotions. I’ll sometimes let people use me because I would’ve helped them with their problems regardless of the reason they’d come to me. There are times, of course, that I don’t help people. When those people are trying to hurt others (emotionally, mentally, or physically) or when they’re hurting themselves (in any or all of the ways I’d just listed) but for the most part if I can help someone I try to, because I’m an empathetic person and I feel bad for people because I put myself in their shoes and I understand how hard life is and how a little act of kindness can mean so much. Me being so empathetic makes me a pushover and this song really hits home for me because it’s basically how I always feel about my empathy Edit: wow I really didn’t mean to spill my whole life story on you guys lol it’s really late and I ramble when I’m tired
