​@@metalheadindian9174 WHOA. It is RARE to find someone who appreciates Reinkaos as much as I do. People shit on that album all the time but I think it's amazing. It's very close to being just a rock album but it has some great riffs and is fucking dark as shit. Almost like a contrarian album with its relatively tame music but transcendentally dark lyrics. One of my top 5 for sure.

ttssssssssasss! I still remember the first time I listened this song! I already had Emperor/Enslaved split (on cassette!) and already seen the "loss of curse and reverence" video (on MTV headbangers). This album overpassed my expectatives by far back then and is still one of my favorite metal albums of all time. And I liked how it was advertised back in 1997: "The Return of EMPEROR - often imitated but never equaled"

This ominous intro and opening song blew me away back when I was 17. Later I would get into their earlier, darker material, and many other landmark black metal records, but it was this album, as well as Samael's Ceremony of Opposites, that introduced me to black metal.
