Its stunningly beautiful, simply breathtaking. There are some places like this Invalides complex, La Louvre, Hagia Sophia Istanbul, Saint Sava Temple Belgrade, Ermitage St Petersburg, St Marco church Venice, St Peter Basilica Rome, Church of Blood Ekaterinburg and many other musems, complexes, temples which are simply whole another level in terms of achitecture, art, history... Time machines of its own kind. They stand out. I have visited many european cities, Paris not yet. And this is what we expect from Paris: beauty, history and elegance. Not a freak satanistic show like at the beginning of Olympics. THIS is real Paris. Fantastic video, one of the best you made, thank you.

@sebastiamarques3274
@sebastiamarques3274 2 ай бұрын
I couldn't disagree more. The ceremony was faithful to the spirit of the French revolution. Don''t you remember the desecration of the Cathedral of Notre Dame? The institution of the cult of "Goddess Reason"? At that time Adolf Buonaparte was a jacobin, an avid supporter of Robespierre and his reing of terror. He approved of that and only feigned changing of mind when it suited his political goals, not out of any sincere conviction. He would vocifeously approve of Macron.

Hi Emil😉, thank you for this visit of "Le Palais des Invalides". The architectural beauty of this palace is really splendid, monumental and impressive. But I don't think Napoleon deserves such a reverence from the posterity. He was undoubtedly smart, fearless, impressively strong, both mentally and emotionally, but his sense of truth and justice was very low. This is the main problem with the great dictators, they are extremely strong in many virtues, especially self-reliance, self-assertivness and courage, but when it comes to the virtue of justice they are beggars.

When I visited Morocco in 2008, we stopped by a beautiful smaller beach City called Kenitra . General Lyautey founded that city. It's about 1 hr from Rabat the capital and 2hrs from Casablanca. When I visited Brittany region in France, I found the names of many streets to be Morrocan and even villages to have Moroccan names (search DouarNinez. Moroccans fought to free France from the Germans. That's the reason. If you don't know this fact, you don't completely understand the history of France

(seen some documentaries + the movie + from talks with my father who is obsessed with him) Napoleon became enemy of Europe.. he was to blame for millions of deaths, a huge chunk french.. he was exiled.. he died in exile. He did made an empire, but pretty much a bad figure (sure, he contributed to some positive things too) Now he is seen as a hero figure, has a memorial place, fancy, artsy building.. Did they build that, or brought him there right after his death .. or was it done way latter?

The British surround and occupy their National places with soldiers but Napoleon's resting place has no French soldiers. The contrast is noticeable is what I'm just saying. 🇺🇸/👁️\🇷🇺 Edit: I have mixed feelings about the whole Invasion of Russia thing. Sure he made a political point against the Czar, but the action was also just despicable to invade the land and make trouble and then rob the capitol and then go home to France with a mauled Army following. I don't consider it a great achievement and Napoleon was accordingly humbled a bit by the experience.
