i love love love the fact that the hermits are becoming citizens of predetermined empires rather than emperors themselves, i feel like it just adds so much to the worldbuilding and it's just so fun to see the interactions between everyone! i've been so hyped waiting for the crossover and I am NOT disappointed! this is so cool

@@erenender66 I think it is both. The Hermits will build their own Empire right near spawn. But I also think the Hermits will be helping the different Empires do things that they aren't good at doing. I think it will be similar to the HCBBS from Season 7 where the Hermits swapped bases for a little bit.

Fun fact related to the tavern: Colorblind artists tend to be better at unique yet well-coordinated color schemes. No one can agree on why, but a great example would be Jacob Andrews. He's red/green blind but always uses these beautiful warm pallets and is incredible at pinks and reds especially.

Given that you’ve been planning this with grian, I hope the story goes something like: -Hermits serve under current empires rather than making their own empires (would reduce complexity and be fun to see more popular hermits following the instructions of less popular empires ytbers) -Empires are able to wage wars with other empires with multiple people on a side (Hermits fight alongside the empire they swore allegiance to). -Eventually there’s a hermit uprising because the empires are making them do too much work and that’s the lore reason for the hermits leaving. Right now, it’s hard to tell what you’ve got planned because we’ve only seen day 1 and I really don’t want it to turn into a mess. Hope it works out for everyone!

Hey Fwip, its nice to be here since I'm mostly a hermit viewer. Just wanted to point out that for the bamboo farm you can make it totally lossless by planting the bamboo on mud and have the mud above the hoppers, then put the glass one block closer. Mud is like slime and honey in that it isnt a full block. This would help with both hopper lag and with item buildup lag, which with so many new friends could be useful.

I'm not gonna lie every time I watch one of these episodes and see all these buildings you're making for a city i can't help but wonder how you would Design a city/town with the mine colonies mod granted you lose your creative building style which i love seeing everytime you build

You ever notice how smoke billows from the lava? What if you could harness it and send some kind of Goblin contraptions into the sky above Gobland? You could build up some Goblin aircraft and maybe some rickety rope bridges between them, a sign of Goblin sanctuary for anyone who is looking AND it could give you minor cover against phantom spawns when you leave the cave.

14:40 I had no idea you were colourblind! The colours do work well together. The only one I would change is the backs of the trapdoor chairs around the central bar, I think warped signs to match the warped trapdoors of the seans would help the chairs stand out better against the background.

Hey fWhip, Grian asked what the hermits should look like and what they could do. Since you both worked together on this I thought to put this comment here as well. What I feel the Hermits are about, they're like the wandering trader in these lands. So they would be trying to start their homes and industries in whatever Empire they can fit in, then get the economy going by trading and having a shopping district up and running again and getting that money coming in whatever currency. I would picture them as a steam punk group. So dressed and acting accordingly. Machine and nature working together. And maybe that's how they return to their old lands, by building machines back up, make another shopping district, then build an airship to return to their own lands with all the goods they accumulate, including the missing diamonds (which they find here somehow, that went missing in their own realm). It's too bad the latest version of Create wasn't in this SMP, then they could build a massive steam train network and machines as well. It would also fit Scar's and Jimmy's collaboration on the railroad going through Tumble Town and link up all the Empires.

you could let them walk around useing honey blocks under carpets with fences to limit where they can go/walk. that way you can make parts of your gobland look much more alive. just fence it off and hide honey blocks on the inner ring an boom.and yes i know you can use any block if you have honey on inner part but stone/wood fence should fit your theme
