@@empossible1577 Thanks a lot for your reply. I did try solving the dispersion relation of slab waveguide using Secant method. In the example in your video, f1 and and f2 can be easily calculated once x1 and x2 are known. However, when calculating dispersion relation, the frequency (w) seems can not be expressed as a function of wave vector (k) easily. Do you have any suggestions?
